This is a nice little addition to the Sims selection, it gives you hours, days, even months of fun!!!
If you thought that The Sims was a great game, then just wait till you getta hold of the Hot Date Expansion Pack! I guarantee that you won't be dissappointed.
You must already own the sims to play and have 600MB free hard drive space and 64MB RAM to play this expansion pack. The game is aimed at +15yrs old, so it isn't really ideal for the kids, It can get a bit heated at times (I think it's funny more than rude!).
Now then, let's talk about the game:

Gameplay

In the new "Downtown" area, you're sims can escape the pressures of their everyday life at home, they can spend sometime relaxing and enjoying life for a change.
There are restaurants where your sims can dine with the company of their choice, or on their own if they prefer. They can relax by a pond in the local park, take in the atmosphere in the bar or make new friends playing pool. There is a nightclub for your sims to go dancing in, with dancing cages that have a fun factor of 7! They could go shopping in the mall, and buy gifts for the special sim in their life. You can purchase things like flowers, chocolates and even Jewellry (The diamond ring is expensive but it's great for their relationships).
If they get bored with the newspaper then you can now expand their interests by buying magazines and computer games.

Build Mode

When creating your own "Downtown" lot remember that money is no object, you have unlimited funds so you can be as extravagant as you like. Don't forget to purchase cookers and shop counters, as these objects provide the staff for your chosen shops/bars etc.The range of wallpapers and carpets is much larger with game, and ther are some really jazzy window frames and doors. You're buildings can look great if you co-ordinate them correctly.

Buy Mode

There are over 125 new objects to buy-although not all of them are available for your sims homes, but you wouldn't need downtown if they were, would you? The Buy menu is slightly different as there are more specific categories to choose from now - if you're looking for paintings then that's what you'll get, instead of just decorative items.

New Characters

As well as the staff - which you don't interact with, they just do what they're supposed to-When you go to "Downtown" there are new characters for you to meet, some of the people haven't come from you're neighbourhood, but you can phone others from your neighbourhood and invite them down also. There are plenty of new, more specific interactions for you to choose. For example there a different ways of kissing now: friendly, passionately, romantically, or you could even find your sims a little cuddle booth and they might want to make out.

The same things as I wrote in my sims opinion applies for the website, only with hot date you have a wider range of objects and families that are accessible for you to download. (www.thesims.com)

So go on, Don't be shy - have some fun - Dating and Mating and don't forget your rating!!!
