The Sims debuted on the PC about three years ago and was met with great sales. People - even folks who don't normally play games - dug it for its non-linear gameplay and all of the neat things you... more

Advantages Advantages You can live your dreams through a computer game

Disadvantages Disadvantages You don't have time to chase your dreams in reality

I recently was asked to go and have a look in our local GAME store to see if they had a copy of Crazy Taxi 3 for the Xbox. Lo and behold they did, my other half would be so pleased, exactly the game he was looking for and at the bargain price of £15.99. But soft, what light from yonder Xbox game breaks, It is the price, and Juliet is the 2 for £25 sticker on the front Arise fair maiden and search for another game That you will be able to play on your own. That is a basic version of how I came across my copy of Sims for the Xbox. After searching through the rest of the ‘Offer’ games ... more

They finally brought this out on the X-Box!! I have been waiting for this for ages and so far I am not disappointed! The X-Box version of The Sims has all of the basic game characteristics as the pc. You start a family, move them into a house (or you can build one yourself), get them a job, get married, have a family and live happily ever after. There are extra bits on the X-Box version though. As well as the standard game you have an option to ‘Get a Life’. This is when you can create a character and you move into a house, the first level is your mum’s house. You are then ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to play, and has bonus games.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only can build one story houses, and can be completed quickly

The Sims is a simulation game where you control what a person or a family you create does. It is from EA Games. I bought this game about two months ago from GAME the store. I bought this as part of the X box but the game costs about 35 pounds. There are two Game modes Play the Sims and Get a Life! To play the Sims you choose a mode. In the Play the Sims you create a town then you create families for your town. This section of the game is opened ended . You have no goals to complete and I have found it more interesting if you create people you know from the way they look down to their star sign ... more

Advantages Advantages More customing options than on the PC version

Disadvantages Disadvantages Gameplay is less fun than on the PC version

The Sims is possibly one of the most highly played computer games on PC - so naturally, it was a delight to all of the Sims gamers out there when it was released on XBox. Not so much for me. As an avid gamer of the PC version of the Sims, I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of objects and irritating gameplay in this XBox version. This is definitely not a game for those who do not have the patience to play through the "Get a Life" mode, which is in fact a completely different game to the original Sims, in which you must complete tasks in order to unlock new items to use in the traditional ... more

Advantages Advantages Live the Life you never lived

Disadvantages Disadvantages Long and very Tedious

Well most games you will find try to bend the rules of realistic life, eg Tony Hawks or Command or Conquer, but this game thrives on all the little things that a avarage joe has to do in order to survive. To play this game you will have to set your sim to do grooling tasks like clean the toilet or cook. Most of the gameplay will be based around you just cleaning and keeping a job. That is the game in a nut shell and there is really not much more to it. While little quirks such as being promoted and having children trys to keep the game exciting and ongoing it will start to get very dull and ... more
