Advantages superb entertainment
Disadvantages You won't get any sleep
If your new to crime and thriller books then Sidney Sheldon is a good place to start. His books aren't full of complicated technical jargon that makes reading slow and heavy going. His books flow nicely and you find yourself reading from cover to cover if time allows you.
The Sky is Falling has all the twists and intrigue that you would expect from a crime novel without bogging you down with unneccesary facts and figures.The female main character, Dana Evans is a TV anchorwoman, suffering burnout after months in the field, reporting on war-torn Sarajevo. Now back home along with a 12 year old boy she has rescued and plans to adopt she expects her life to calm down.
This isn't to happen though when she links the deaths, apparently from unrelated accidents, of 5 members of the same family. When she starts to investigate further she unleases a chain of events that puts the lives of everyone she cares about in danger. She passes all her findings to a person she feels she can trust only to find herself betrayed just when she needs help the most.This is an exciting, page turning read, ideal bedtime reading if you don't have anything to do the next day. Don't expect to turn out the light until you've read every page.
