I recently had a consultant from The Student Support Centre come to my home after we received a letter home from our son's school. He showed us the programme and explained how it would help our kids with their studies and then came the price which would have been over £2900 and it didn't cover the later school years and was really based around primary and early secondary. I must admit we were both excited about helping the kids, but I thought I would check a few of the review blogs to see what everyone thought about the company and the product before we finally committed ourselves. We are so glad that we did! It is very clear that many people feel ripped off with both the company and the product. The price: very expensive. The support: apparently non-existent. The programme: Lacks motivation and appears to be old technology. We just couldn't see anything that justified us getting involved with The Student Support Centre at all. We then read a blog on The Student Support Centre - Distance Learning (It's not on Ciao) and the reviewer talked about the programme and then identified that the company has changed products and that the original product was a company called Future School, and it was now online and a fraction of the cost. (Based on what we would need to buy off The Student Support Centre, it was about 5% of the cost and included much more) We went on the web www.futureschool.com and found that it was available and covered the England UK curriculum from Year 1 to A levels in both maths and English and you got the lot for less than £20 per month and only had to commit to a 1 year contract. It sounded to good to be true, so we have thought about it and as it offered a 14 day money back guarantee, we thought we would give it a try! For anyone who is really looking - this is definitely the way to go! Inexpensive, Great Support, Easy to use even for my wife and me and we didn’t have to buy or install anything to use it. And it does have some special things that help the kids stay ahead at school. That's it! But as I said before, I can't find anything to support The Student Support Centre, especially when there are other products on the market that work better, cost less and are more interesting for the kids.
