Advantages: Good start, quite humourous Disadvantages: A little too much science
Time is a novel with a really good concept, Baxter always seem to think of them. Not a huge fan I was encouraged to read this after the excellent 'Moonseed'. It starts off well, a mathmatician works out that the world will end and the only way to save the world is too get advice from the future. The first part of the book is humourous (unusually for Baxter) and entertaining unfortunatley he gets bogged down a little too much in the science, I usually like this sort of thing but he goes too far and almost forgets this is a novel. The ending is the most dissapointing thing, Baxter relies on a go back in time plot device that is totally unworthy of him. ...
Advantages: inexpensive, simple, last for ages Disadvantages: none for me
There is one cupboard in my kitchen that is full to the brim of cans. Tuna, tomatoes, beans, sweetcorn, soups and more. When it comes the the end of the week (especially as I begin to run low on funds nearing payday) and I'm trying to stretch what's in the kitchen to avoid spending money at the shops this cupboard is where I try to make a meal out of. Most of the time it is quite hard to even see what's in there! Most of the time I end up raiding the freezer before searching the long-lasting food cupboard.
One thing always available in there is plain tomato soup. To be honest I have never been overly bothered by brand when it came to restocking and just when with the first one I came across. I like another soup in the Baxters range and thus more recently bought the cream of tomato soup.
On a crazy night last week we got home relatively ...
Advantages: Good idea Disadvantages: Badly executed
The Film
Death Ship is a 1980 horror film that opens on the sea with an old ship storming across the waves. It?s seemingly controlled by ghosts and a German voice is heard over the intercom. At the same time on an apparently near by cruise liner a party is going on. The captain of the ship (George Kennedy) is just about to retire and hand over control to Marshall his second in command played by Richard Crenna.
The two ships are apparently on a collision course but this is really badly created in the film as whenever you see the old haunted ship its daylight but whenever you see the cruise liner is in pitch darkness. The two ships have clearly been filmed at two different times of day and it?s such an obvious mistake that the audience can?t miss.
Anyway, the ships crash and the cruise liner is seen to suffer a lot of damage ...
