This book has very quickly entered my top ten all time favourites list. Though entirely fictional, Twelve Hawks' descriptions of our world as being constantly monitored by a group that are the post 'DaVinci Code' equivalent of Big Brother, were unsettlingly accurate. When coupled with a very personal knowledge of his settings, the book very quickly had me gripped, and looking over my shoulder for the CCTV. His style is blunt and unembellished giving the story it's hard-edged feel. I really enjoyed the science fiction element to the story, and the spiritual aspect of the "travellers" is a really nicely developed concept. I look forward to his future books, when I expect he'll develop more of this. This book is a must read for those who've ever wondered who's behind the ever present camera!

This review caught my eye as I have just finished reading the same book... I do feel your review could do with some more detail if it is to be ranked anything higher than "helpful".

What is the book about? What is the science fiction element to the book? Who are the 'travellers'? What is your very personal knowledge of the settings used? Good first attempt at a review, but reviews need loads more info! : )
