The good bit about the Top 40 on radio one is that of course it's just based on sales so you get a more accurate picture of what songs are doing in the shops. Obviously there isn't so much advertising either so you get a fairly uninterrupted broadcast.
BUT the quality of the DJ's just do not compare to the one's on the Pepsi Chart, broadcast for commercial radio. Mayvbe it's because of my age but Doctor Fox is one of the best D'J's around. He is informative, entertaining, and friendly, he also has cpulling power. All the celebs ring up to his shows but you just don't get that on Radio One. Also they have out-sdie broadcasts at things like Smash Hit's Poll Winners which is great fun.The Radio One chart just does not offer the record buying public enough, and for the younger, pop orientated genration it is boring! Just like everything else on Radio One it is not commercial enough.
