THE COMPANY

Vidal Sassoon is a very well established company, Founded by a man called Vidal Sassoon. As a young boy he had no interest in becoming a hairdresser, until the age of 14 when his mother got him a job as an apprentice in a barber shop.

In 1948 Vidal set up his first salon, in a tiny room on a third floor above Bond Street. And for nine years he perfected his cutting techniques, searching for new simple and elegant hairstyles. By 1963 he had pioneered the bob and the five point hair cuts, these are what made Vidal famous and gave him the title of "The founder of modern hairdressing".

This was how is all started, he then went on to give his name to a chain of hair salonsin the UK and the United States, and produce his own range of hair care products which are still in high demand across the world today.

Since revolutionizing the hair and fashion industry in the 1960s with the unique cutting technique (THE BOB), Vidal Sassoon has always lead the the worlds cutting techniques and the must have trends. The simple and precise cutting techniques attract hairdressers from all over the world.

The Vidal Sassoon beginner's Diploma Course is recognised world wide, so you will be classed as fully trained.

SALON INTENSIVE COURSE

This course I aimed at newly qualified hairdressers, are even those who want to progress with their hairdressing skills.

The course is 4 weeks of intense training to give you, insight in the modern cutting techniques, classic colour application, freehand and modern colour placement. This course is a must for any hairdresser who feels they could learn more skills and enhance their business.

It always looks good when you tell customers that you are Vidal Sassoon trained, you can charge a little bit more for you work.

OTHER COURSES

If you are already trained in the industry, there is a variety of short and long-term courses to meet your needs, providing tuition in both cutting and colouring seeming to be the most popular.

Sassoon training academies also offer many other courses, so if you are only interested in perusing one aspect of the hairdressing industry, they can cater for that as well.
