THE COMPANY
Vidal Sassoon is a very well established company, Founded by a man called Vidal Sassoon. As a young boy he had no interest in becoming a hairdresser, until the age of 14 when his mother got him a job as an apprentice in a barber shop.
In 1948 Vidal set up his first salon, in a tiny room on a third floor above Bond Street. And for nine years he perfected his cutting techniques, searching for new simple and elegant hairstyles. By 1963 he had pioneered the bob and the five point hair cuts, these are what made Vidal famous and gave him the title of "The founder of modern hairdressing".
This was how is all started, he then went on to give his name to a chain of hair salonsin the UK and the
United States, and produce his own range of hair care products which are still in high demand across the world today.
Since revolutionizing the hair and fashion industry in the 1960s with the unique cutting technique (THE BOB), Vidal Sassoon has always lead the the worlds cutting techniques and the must have trends. The simple and precise cutting techniques attract hairdressers from all over the world.
VIDAL SASSOON TRAINING SCHOOLS
This is one of the largest hairdressing schools in London, Vidal Sassoon offers a wide range of courses from the basic skills of hairdressing, to the more advanced Cutting, Colouring, Perming and Styling techniques need to compete with the ever changing hair must haves.

BASIC COURSE
One on the courses offered is the hairdresser's beginner course, this lasts either 30 or 45 weeks depending on what skills you want to pursue within the hairdressing industry.
This course will give you all of the hairdressing background knowledge and hairdressing skills needed to obtain the qualification that is needed for you to trade as a hairdresser.
This will be gained by completing modules, these are then broken down over six stages. Each stage will last five weeks.
Your course is broken down into work sessions (Practicing on client's), assessments both written and oral, intensive skill training and research lessons. This course is designed to turn an absolute novice to an all round, well trained hairdresser. All working tools are provided by the Sassoon training school.
The Vidal Sassoon beginner's Diploma Course is recognised world wide, so you will be classed as fully trained.
SALON INTENSIVE COURSE
This course I aimed at newly qualified hairdressers, are even those who want to progress with their hairdressing skills.
The course is 4 weeks of intense training to give you, insight in the modern cutting techniques, classic colour application, freehand and modern colour placement. This course is a must for any hairdresser who feels they could learn more skills and enhance their business.
It always looks good when you tell customers that you are Vidal Sassoon trained, you can charge a little bit more for you work.
OTHER COURSES
If you are already trained in the industry, there is a variety of short and long-term courses to meet your needs, providing tuition in both cutting and colouring seeming to be the most popular.
Sassoon training academies also offer many other courses, so if you are only interested in perusing one aspect of the hairdressing industry, they can cater for that as well.
Other courses include, 1 WEEK COURSES that refresh you existing skills, but you must have salon experience to take part in these courses.
TEACHING THE SASSOON WAY this is designed to teach you and show how totrain and educate other budding hairdressers.

Vidal Sassoon is a trend setting hairdressers with branches all over London offering a cuts, blowdrys, highlights, lowlights, colours and perms, so all of the staff are trained to a very high standard.
Remember that these hairdressers had to train some where, is it you want rock bottom prices then visit the Vidal Sassoon advanced academy, to get great discounted hair doo's. Yes these stylists are training, but some of them may have been in the industry for years.
All appointments must be booked in advance and the salon is only open for haircuts during the week at 10am and 2pm.
