people, and fans of Steel's recipe for glamour won't be disappointed. The Wedding's heroine is the young, "long, lean and beautiful" Allegra Steinberg, Hollywood attorney to and confidante of the stars, whose books include Bram Morrison, "one of rock music's great heroes", and the dashingly handsome actor Alan Carr, whose number "half the women in America would have given their right arm for". All seems well in Allegra's Ferre wearing, Mercedes-driving world. Her charming father, Simon Steinberg, is apparently happily married to her beautiful mother Blaire Scott, and the nominee for a clutch of Golden Globe awards as one of Hollywood's most successful movie producers. Allegra's "clean-cut and preppy" boyfriend Brandon Edwards seems to be all that she could want. However, in the space of several whirlwind days jetting from east to west coast, Allegra makes an unpleasant discovery about her father, and has a fateful encounter in New York with the "long and lean" writer Jeff Hamilton which will change her life forever. Steel sets in motion an emotional roller-coaster which engulfs a dazzling collection of glamorous friends, family and lovers, as the search is on for wedded bliss. --Lucy Snowe
Advantages: Best selling book, but I think you need to like Steel's writing style. Disadvantages: Confusing sub-plots
...she always insists on reading. The book she brought with her was Danielle Steel’s ‘The Wedding’ and I have not heard her complain about a book for such a long time! Personally, I can never understand what she sees in this type of book but each to their own.
The story centres on a twenty-nine year old attorney for the stars, Allegra Steinberg. It is a complicated plot showing how her life becomes involved in theirs. How, day or ... ...a writer from New York, the man of her dreams and her life changes forever. She has her ups and downs but as always, love conquers all. There are many sub-plots within the Wedding, making this book a little long winded from time to time.
A personal favourite sub-plot, however, is the adoption dilemma. It reminded me of ‘the twins from America’ and what happened when the tabloid press became involved. Steel looks at personal feelings ...

Advantages: A good author, who does different stories..... Disadvantages: Can't put the book down........
...just touch a few of the areas lightly. The main character of this book is a woman named Allegra. Yes, I know, Allegra is an allergy medication but this is the name Danielle chose for this book. LOL! Allegra is an attorney for Hollywood-types, actors, musicians, etc. Her Mother and Father are famous movie and TV directors, etc. Allegra is in a go-nowhere relationship with her current boyfriend Brandon. This book takes her through her happy and unhappy ... ...surprising, or not-so-surprising twists in the story; tragedies and unplanned pregnancies, etc. But the main focus of the latter part of the book is Allegra's upcoming wedding. Which, anyone who is planning a wedding might drool at Allegra's opportunity to have anything for her wedding that money can buy. Those who have already planned a wedding and been through the ceremony of it all will laugh at the absurdity of some of the wedding planning. There ...

Advantages: A very enjoyable romance Disadvantages: None unless you dont like romance!
The Wedding by Daneille Steel is another outstanding novel she has written. Daneille Steel has written 52 novels most all Ive read and certainly enjoyed. She is my favorite author, she entertains and informs! I think her plots are very well structured and she gives lots of glamorous views in her storys. This story takes place in california with Allegra Steinberg she is a entertainment lawyer with a father that is a hollywood producer. Her mother ... ...model. Allegra Steinberg lives in the fast lane with a number of events in her life along with her family problems and events that seems endless. First at a young age she is rejected by her father and suffers with fear and resentment that leads her to chose all the wrong men in her life but at the same time at a young age inherites a new father and new family. Allegra finally at 29 years old finds the man of her dreams and goes through so many bizzare ...

Advantages: Enjoyable, light and entertaining Disadvantages: A little predicatable
...with some issues close to the hearts of most people. She went through a phase of writing horrible stories of child abuse and spousal abuse but fortunately for her fans, has ditched that theme for the traditional boy meets girl story which warms the heart.
The Wedding is exactly that, a little predicatable, but is that not what we look for when reading this type of book? I enjoyed the storyline and anyone in the acting world can emathise with the ...
