Great books, Great prices, Great service!

Advantages: great books at great prices
Disadvantages: none

If you have not yet discovered this amazing company you really should go th their website and have a look. They sell wonderful books at amazing prices! I first encountered The Book People when i was working in school and one of their reps came round and left a small selection of books for people to browse and order if they wanted to. Over the years I have ordered quite a few books in this way and always been really pleased with the low price and ...
...wait for someone to come to your workplace as you can order any of the fairly wide selection of books they offer through their website at www.thebookpeople.co.uk When you first log on you arrive at the homepage which then offer you various categories of books to browse. These include bestsellers, children fiction or non-fiction, adults fiction or non-fiction, lifestyle, home and leisure. In fact there is something there for everyone. As the mum ...

Try Not To Break Their Spines

Advantages: Gosh-darned cheap, small but comprehensive selection, excellent customer service.
Disadvantages: Headache-inducing website colours, not all special offers available online.

Today, my parcel from thebookpeople was rather a good one. It contained: ● Set of ten books by John Steinbeck in Penguin Classics at £9.99. The published price for these books is a whopping £77.90. (Well, I needed them: my old ones are rather dog-eared). ● Stanley Yelnat's Guide to Camp Green Lake by Louis Sachar at £1.99. The published price of this is £4.99 and I've not seen it at less anywhere on the High Street. (If you've read ...
...you've not, why've you not?!) ● Norwegian Wood the two book novel by Murakami that comes in boxed form. Its list price is £15.00 but I'm paying only £5.99. (Yes, yes, I know: I should have read it already. I haven't. So there). ● Set of eight John Grisham novels at £9.99 instead of £55.92. (Not my bag at all, but I needed to donate a prize for the village skateboard park (!) fund). ● Slipcased set of three hardbacked children's ...

Loyalty points for books

Advantages: bargain books
Disadvantages: none

It's NOT a CLUB and it gives you loyalty points for buying books. Can you beat that? Who they are? The bookpeople.co.uk are a book company who offer books at discounted prices without the the customer feeling the pinch of belonging to yet another club. Books can be bought without any obligation to buy any more, although they feel sure you will return because of their prices. What they offer. Books at discounted prices. A book that will be £9.99 ...
...How can you order? By phone, fax, online or by post. Payment is made in advance by card or cheque. Delivery is within five working days and delivered by Royal Mail, or for a small surcharge you can have next day delivery if you order before 5pm. Delivery charges: £2.95 for orders under £25. Over that amount, delivery is free. Can you buy bestellers? No. But the books they do offer you are so cheap you don't care about best sellers. The site ...

books, books and more books

Advantages: free delivery for purchases over £25.00, gift delivery service
Disadvantages: do not stock the latest releases

I was first introduced to The Book People via their mail order service, which has now been running over 10 years. I was delighted to discover they also had an on-line service. As the name suggests, the company sells a good array of books and stationery for all ages. Don’t expect to find the latest releases here though as it is mainly devoted to bestsellers that have been in print for some time, and this is reflected in their pricing. Most ...
...price. THE SITE The site is very simply and clearly designed, with no annoying flashing adverts to get in the way. To help locate the book you want, the stock is divided up into 12 distinct categories, which are displayed down the left hand side of the screen. These are; reading, sport, hobbies, health, outdoors, famous faces, reference, cooking, toddlers, kids, stationery and audio books. If you click onto one of these categories, you will see ...
