Fun Family Day Out

Advantages: Good Family Fun, Good Mix of Rides
Disadvantages: Expensive if You Pay Full Price

...Attraction ------------------ Chessington World of Adventures is a family theme park, it has rides and a zoo. It is advertised as a family fun day out. It is just that, aimed at families and designed for families and younger children. I could not imagine my friends and I looking for a day out and choosing Chessington. It is located just within the m25 off junction 9 or 10, depending which way you're coming from. It is in Surrey. There are many rides ...
...----------------- I think Chessington is a great attraction for kids, younger kids, there is a lot for them to do and see but it does seem a bit mixed and matched in terms of rides. There are 3 or 4 main adult rides, which are not suitable for children and the under 1.4 metres, I don't understand why they would bother with these types of rides when most people who go to Chessington have children with them and can't leave them to go on a massive ride ...

Fun for all

Advantages: Plenty of rides
Disadvantages: Pricey

LIGHTWATER VALLEY It’s become a bit of a “thing” that we try a theme park over the summer hols and although I don’t go on any of the rides, I go along as chief bag carrier and usually have a good time! Last year we went to Flamingo Land and because of the road works on the motorway I wanted somewhere closer so it was decided that the venue would be Lightwater valley. **Location and contact details...** Lightwater Valley, North Stainley, Ripon, ...
...dragon rides, a maze, Lightwater Express and others, so even young children won’t be bored. **Opening times...** The gates open at 10am, with the rides starting at 10.30am. We arrived at 10.30, probably the busiest time, but still got into the park within half an hour. It closes any time from 4.30pm depending on the time of year, but when we left at 6.30pm, they were only just starting to close some of the rides. **Other bits of information...** ...

Paultons Park (Paultons Family Theme Park)

Advantages: Its very family friendly
Disadvantages: Can be a little dull for older children and adults

Paultons Family Theme Park as the name suggests is a family theme park. It's just off exit 2 of the M27 near Southampton in Hampshire. Originally Paultons Park was a country park and bird garden. However it now has over 50 family rides and attractions as well as some animals dotted around the park these include Meerkats, Penguins, South African Crowned Cranes, Touracos and a few others. It's many rides include: The Cobra, THe Flying Frog, The Stinger, ...

A fun place to be

Advantages: A fun day out for all the family
Disadvantages: Hell if you have to queue for too long

We visited Legoland yesterday (23.8.2000) for the second time and unfortunately, we picked one of the busiest days of the year. Queuing times were averaging around 40 - 45 minutes, although there was a waiting for one attraction of some 90 minutes. The worst we had to wait was around an hour, which is along time for small kids to be hanging around. Legoland is split into various sections and it is worth checking out which ones are best for you. ...
...can be found on the legoland website). It will save a lot of stress and arguements. The map gives details of the restrictions for each ride, which is very helpful when trying to plan what you want to do. It is also a good idea to take into account any shows you are planning to go to, as you will need to make sure that you are in the right locations at the right time. * Think about how much stuff you are taking with you and how you are going to carry ...

A good day out for all the family.

Advantages: Loads for the younger kids, Good value for money,
Disadvantages: Akward to get to if the M25 is busy

I went to Thorpe park for the first time years ago with my parents and loved it so I couldn't wait until at least one of my children was old enough to take. Not that you really need an excuse. Jamie who is four loved it. We went before the fire and it was a rainy day although it was on and off which was good. Because of the weather we managed to get onto the rides pretty much straight away as not many people were out that day. Tidal wave was great. ...
...have regular shows of the Thorpe Park characters. Brilliant for the kids. We had a leaflet given to us on Thorpe Park recently and they now only charge for the child if he/she is over 1m as that is the height restriction on most of the rides including loggers leap. They have a couple of new big rides now so well worth a visit. ...
