I was prompted in to trying this perfume after listening to numerous people talk about it and smelling numerous people wearing it and asking what it is that they had on. Angel by Thierry Mugler seems to be an incredibly popular scent and so eventually I wanted to find out what all the hype was about.

My sort of star shaped bottle set me back £22.00 as it was £42.00 for a 25ml non-refillable bottle from Boots and I had a £20.00 Boots voucher I had received at Christmas time. This seemed like a reasonable enough price for a 25ml bottle but I would have felt that £42.00 was a little expensive for the amount of fragrance you get in this bottle but as I paid around £20.00 for a 30ml Lacoste product recently I was happy enough with this price. It appears that you can also buy this in a refillable bottle but this is not something that I have investigated.

The bottle that this perfume comes in is fantastic and I love the awkward star shape of it. The colour of this bottle is blue and the perfume within is clear like most perfumes I use. I love the look of this bottle and feel that it looks amazing on my dressing table with my other perfumes.

This perfume is the first fragrance from Thierry Mugler. This is a mixture of some very different notes indeed. The notes include melons, citrus fruits, peaches, plums, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli and more. This gives for a fragrance with woody undertones and a refreshing citrus based scent.

I would say that the sweet notes in this fragrance are the most noticeable ones. The vanilla comes through well for me and stands out from pretty much all of the other notes. I can detect chocolate notes in this too which is obviously very unusual for a fragrance, even a relatively expensive one. This is quite unlike any fragrance that I have used before and I guess that is what attracted me to it. I do find that this smells different on me that is does my friend and that obviously sums up perfume really - different for every person!

Overall I am very pleased with this perfume. I find that this smell lasts for hours and reapplication is not needed very often thanks to the longevity of this perfume. This perfume suits me really well and I get lots of compliments when I am wearing it. The sweet notes suit me really well and I find this a fantastic perfume for wearing on evenings out with my husband or with friends. I get lots of compliments when I am wearing this perfume which really makes it worth every penny for me.
