The ThinkCentre S50 desktops feature a tool-free chassis design, which simplifies and enhances usability. Encased in a durable steel chassis, components inside the machine, such as the hard disk and memory, can easily be removed by the customer, making the PC serviceable and upgradeable, helping to limit the downtime and cost associated with on-site support. Cable routing is bundled out of the way for easy access to components and cable ends and user touch points are colored blue to be easily identified by the user. ThinkCentre S50 desktops also feature an innovative "caddy" that surrounds the hard disk drive, locking it into place without the use of tools or screws. Rubber bumpers on the caddy decrease vibration and deliver quieter operation. Other mechanical improvements have been made to the overall design of the ThinkCentre PCs, including improved airflow and reduced noise.

...ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
IBM’s range of workstations have always been backed up with a long history, after all shouldn’t IBM be the experts, they did “invent” the PC after all! IBM’sThinkCentre range represents IBM’s mid-range business workstations, enough power and multimedia capabilities to run the top end office and productivity, whilst keeping costs down to make the systems as affordable as possible. A hidden but equally important part of the ThinkCentres resides inside the computer and installed on the hard drives, these discrete design decisions and software packages that are shipped with the machines. I have recently installed 86 IBM ThinkCentreS50’s at work; this review is my attempt to distil my experiences into words.

Advantages: not too expensive, nice looking overall good pc Disadvantages: a bit standard, not really exceptional
...The ThinkCentre A50 8085 has lots of features and technology, including Intel Extreme Graphics 2 performance, six USB 2.0 ports, lots of security features, and powerful software tools to back up and protect your data. Overall i think this is an ok pc, providing you dont install too much memory on it.
I wont go into complicated details like memory size, RAM, etc because most people dont tend to understand them to well. Basicly, underneath all the fancy advertising and posh words this is an average computer for an average person. It would be ideal for a student, like me. I bought this pc for about £500 new recently.
But be warned! This, like many other computers, may seem great at first, but after a while it grinds to a halt while browsing the internet, freezes when playing games, and takes a lifetime to boot up. This of course...

Last Christmas I was getting ready to buy my first digital camera. I didn't know what features I wanted on it exactly, but I knew that I didn't want to spend more than £300... or less than £200. I did plenty of research online before making my decision... more
I've been hanging fire before buying a portable DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) radio for several reasons, not least of which is the price previously being asked for DAB sets compared to portable FM radios, which up to now have always been a mainstay of... more
