Pros: Nice big screen, fast processor. When you pump it up to 1GB RAM it works quite well

You can put your coffee cup next to the cooling fan outlet and keep your coffee warm for hours. Great in cold climates.

It's got the IBM logo on the outside. Now that I know that IBM stands for "Its a Broken Machine" I'm no longer as thrilled. I am retiring the machine as a LAMP server and have moved my Windows apps to my Acer replacement laptop.

Cons:
The hard drive died within a week of using it. It was replaced under warranty, but they installed the wrong OS. When the correct OS was installed, it came with free spyware.

18 months later this laptop still overheats terribly, and the IBM workshop took 4 weeks to "fix" it and there is no improvement whatsoever. It's a terrible design flaw, and totally overpriced. I am using a replacement laptop (Acer Travelmate 2450) that is effectivly just as fast that costs a third of the price.
