I have brought eight of these IBM T41 laptops, there specifcations our, 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium Processor, 256 MB of memory but with have brought extra ram for making in 512mb, it has a 40 GB hard disk drive, 14.1" TFT active matrix display with Microsoft Windows XP Professional and it weights about 2.3 kg Weight and battery life is about 4.7 hours. It also has built wireless which is pretty good you will have to update the driver on the wireless card first as the old driver ahas a little bug. Its supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet but if youhave wireless you need this and has a ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 - 32 MB which is good and doesnt come up with any problems and it also has bluetooth capabilites to link your mobile to your laptop this will only work if you mobile phone has bluetooth built on it.
These laptops our excellent for people on the go very light easy to operate and to use in differnet enviroments can say anything bad about as never fail, you sometime forget that its a laptop and think its a desktop pc for how fast its. Its works fine under Window XP sp2 patch it works fine and it works fine under most Linux operating systems. Its all so has hard drive software on it that detects any movment to the laptop stoping the hard drive spinning so it wont corrupt any data or damage to the hard drive due to any sudden movements of the laptop. IBM support they laptops with very good service if anything goes wrong with they normal send out a engineer with a coulpe of days or sooner.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone its a excellent buy as its robust seem to do fine with anything you throw at it not literally though. Go and try for yourselfs .
