First impressions of CRT monitors are always found when you have to take them out of the box. This one weighed a ton and a half. Not the best thing to be lifting with a bad back.
The screen quality is very good on this unit, crisp and ... ...When I tried to connect the base it took me 4 or 5 attempts to figure out how to attach it. First impressions of CRT monitors are always found when you have to take them out of the box. This one weighed a ton and a half. Not the best thing to be lifting with a bad back. The screen quality is very good on this unit, crisp and bright. But I am afraid that is where it stops. When I tried to connect the base it took me 4 or 5 attempts to figure out how to attach it. On doing so I placed it on my desk only to find that the base is not strong enough to hold the weight of the monitor. If you angle it up at the back it just drops back again. The other major problem with the unit is that the actual tube is nothing short of titanic. I have to sit at an angle just to be able to fit it in the space that I have. My previous compaq monitor fitted fine. There appears to be no flickering of any kind to date, buttons on the front remain strong as ever. Adjusting the settings is easy but nobody realy cares about that, once you've dont it once thats about it. Overall, I would not purchase another one of these, its basic, to big and to heavy. Save your money anf get an LCD.
ThinkVision C190 is a 19-inch flat CRT monitor at an attractive price. It incorporates elements of ThinkVantage Design to enhance usability - by minimizing glare and distortion around the edges and corners of the screen - and to complement the system design.
