Even less than it looks...

Advantages: Bang for buck, specs and features
Disadvantages: active matrix

Lenovo ThinkVision L192 has been in my use for a year now and I cant say anything else to it: It is amazing... Sleek design of black and anodized aluminum combined with state of the art technology results in a mouthwatering candy for casual users and gamers. Well, I have tested this monitor with different applications and I can rest assured that this monitor lives up to its stats. Compared to a 17" widescreen that has the same stats, the 19" seems much more natural to the eyes and does not stress them... Plus the 5 ms refresh rate ensures smooth and flawless motion. 300 candela per square meter might be somewhat stressful to the eyes but during daytime, it ensures good quality... 800:1 contrast gives more natural and pleasant color and looks, to me, even more appealing. Somewhat not good is the active matrix feature. After I ...

Review of Lenovo ThinkVision L192

Long term review of an excellent screen

Advantages: Quality, design and performance
Disadvantages: Expensive when new

the screen is adjusted for height or attitude. Recently I wall mounted them and used the standard plates at the back to do this. The old supports were easily removed and this allowed the screens to be kept clear of the desk and free up some space. I don\'t use them for games so I cannot comment on screen response rate but I have had no problem in ordinary use to criticise their performance. (I think quoted figures are 25ms which are very poor compared to the average these days. However, if you are just using standard office apps just enjoy the quality of the image). I have used them for over three years now and they have proved very reliable and offer a superb stable image which has never had a problem. I was lucky that I bought them through the Home Computer Initiative so didn\'t have to shell out for them in one go. Price ...

Review of ThinkVision L180p

I would have one if it was free

Advantages: Black and its 19"
Disadvantages: Evrything

I bought one of these to go with my ACER PC. Having already purchased an LCD I didnt want to have to spend a load on another so I bought this. But at £170 I should have just bought the LCD..... First impressions of CRT monitors are always found when you have to take them out of the box. This one weighed a ton and a half. Not the best thing to be lifting with a bad back. The screen quality is very good on this unit, crisp and bright. But I am afraid that is where it stops. When I tried to connect the base it took me 4 or 5 attempts to figure out how to attach it. On doing so I placed it on my desk only to find that the base is not strong enough to hold the weight of the monitor. If you angle it up at the back it just drops back again. The other major problem with the unit is that the actual tube is nothing short of titanic. I have to ...
