A FAIR TRIAL .... WITHOUT A BODY?

Advantages: Chilling, gripping, compelling tale
Disadvantages: All the characters smoke excessively!

Deep Black - Into the Psychological Area

Advantages: Great insight into the mind of soldiers!
Disadvantages: Can be slightly boring in parts...(like most books!)

Andy McNabs Deep Black is unlike his normal books, taking you into several cities it tells you the story of a man, his friend and their past. Prepare to be moved.

Advantages: A great read, but not a 'typical' Grisham.
Disadvantages: Ending was not as strong as it could have been, biut it didn't matter.

Having read a number of John Grisham's books, this one came as a complete surprise, and a very pleasant one at that! It reminded me of Steinbeck's 'The Grapes of Wrath', but was more readable and faster moving. It is the story of two families coming together during the depression in the United States. A Good Day to Die. Couldn't put it down!

Advantages: Readabilty, up to date and believable
Disadvantages: Some people might not like the first person narrative
