A code but not Da Vinci
Advantages: could have been a good plot Disadvantages: Disappointing characters and ending
...is a decent read
Digital Fortress begins as all Dan Brown’s later novels begin, with a mysterious murder, and then the story really takes off. This story is a battle of wits and beliefs, cantering around the government's battle against terrorism vs. individual privacy. It may sound a bit difficult to follow but this is a story that is fairly easy to follow for us amateurs, and as always, Brown does a good job of enlightening us about not only the ... ...In short, it may be worth it to check Digital Fortress out from the library, or borrowing it from a friend, but I don’t recommend actually purchasing it. If you are a devoted thriller fan or Dan Brown lover, I would recommend you to purchase it used, if possible. ...

Give me back my demon!
Advantages: Scary with a good story Disadvantages: Childish for some.
...in the Demonata series is Demon thief! This series of books is peculiar as there are 3 main protagonists. This was done to keep the reader guessing who was going to die! The author felt readers would like to know that no one is safe, not even the main characters! Each book follows the perspective of one of these protagonists and in this book we meet the second of the trio. His name is Kernel Fleck. I do enjoy the names Shan creates, they are as unusual ... ...again, this time bringing another demon with it. The demon kills a lot of people then kidnaps Kernels brother. This is where Kernels adventure begins. He must find his brother is the world of the demonta. There are some great characters in this book. We are introduced to "the disciples". A group of humans who are waged in on going battle with the demons to stop them entering our universe. They are led by an magician named Beranabus who is fearsomely ...

Denial, the truth will out
Advantages: A gripping read. Very well written Disadvantages: Couldn't put it down!
...'Denial' not an audio book.
Denial is a gripping thriller by UK author, Peter James. His work has been likened to that of Stephen King and Michael Crichton by the Sunday Express newspaper's literary critic, personally I feel the novel 'Denial' is far superior to those of other thriller writers. The plot is intense, it twists and turns and gives the reader surprises aplenty. There are several gruesome, gut wrenching passages which are wholly appropriate ... ...horrifyingly real. **The plot**
Thomas Lamark is the only child of has-been actress, Gloria Lamark. Gloria's acting career has nose-dived, she is no longer in demand for movie roles, her once loyal fan base has faded and her marriage is over. She had never divorced Thomas' father, who has since died leaving Gloria a fortune, which enables her to lead a life of luxury and cosseting in London's wealthy Holland Park. Thomas is a striking man, having ...

Macabre London
Advantages: Well-researched, very Jack the Ripper in atmosphere Disadvantages: The unnecessary appearance of Karl Marx, H G Wells and other historical characters from the period
...theatre company where the famous Dan Leno, character actor extraordinaire, is based. After a period of time doing odd jobs, she is taken on as a character actor in her own right. Interspersed with Elizabeth's story is a number of murders committed by a being that the locals name the Limehouse Golem, reported partially from diaries attributed to Elizabeth Cree's husband, John. The murders are particularly cruel and heartless - the first diary entry ... ...The characters
Confusingly, although Dan Leno is mentioned in the title of the book and is a real person, he only plays a minor part in the book. Elizabeth, who shows a remarkable talent for acting and comedy, becomes his protégé, although for some reason, he chooses to keep his distance from her. Elizabeth herself is portrayed as a young woman who has suffered greatly and who has a cruel streak, but has luckily managed to find her feet in the theatre. ...

Jack Reacher is the Best
Advantages: Really well thought plot. Great suspense and non stop action Disadvantages: none that I can think of
...aAnthony award for Killing Floor. Die Trying was Childs second vovel and again revolved aroung Jack Reacher. This became a sought of trend for Child who revolved many novels around this made up character, Reacher..
Now Childs Jack Reacher novels are in there plenty. There are more then five books of Reacher action. Killing Floor, Die trying, Tripwire, The visitor, Echo Burning, Without fail, Persuader, The Enemy and many more all revolve around ... ...bought by Lee Child. At the time I bought at Tesco for about £5.00. I can't remeber the exact price. About a fiver for a paperback. Which I thought wasn't bad. It turne out not to be as I now have quite a few Jack Reacher Novels now as I liked them that much.
Jack Reacher is ex military he use to be a military cop but he decided to leave as the army were laying soldiers off. This was wierd in itself as he was a good militayr cop and could of got ...
