The Da Vinci Code
Review of The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown by bushwakka999

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: Not for those with strong catholic beliefs

This is so far the best book i have read so far i found that not only is it entertaining it was a good way to see people's views and i also found that some of the views in this book i can relate to and i also started to believe this far more. i would not recommend this book however if you are a strong catholic as it does not support the views of catholics. however i found that the da vinci code offers a good insite into beliefs of others. this book ... An Illuminating Adventure
Review of Angels and Demons - Dan Brown by dan_pentagram

Advantages: Strong Subject, Easy to get lost within, Adventure seems real
Disadvantages: Historical errors, Similar structure to Da Vinci Code

...Da Vinci Code well before Angels and Demons even though the former is the sequel released three years later. Does this mean that Dan Brown's first Robert Langdon novel is ay good? Published first in 2000 by Pocket Books, Angels and Demons has actually been branded an international Bestseller and despite selling more copies after the release of its sequel, critical reviews have generally been positive. Is it a 'breathless, real-time adventure with ...
...Well the story within Angels and Demons is one we are all familiar with, a race against time. Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor and symbologist teams up with marine scientist Vittoria Vetra on a quest that leads them to the Vatican and Rome pursuing a murderer who claims to be working for an ancient brotherhood known as The Illuminati, hell bent on blowing up the entire state. Robert Langdon, an Illuminati specialist doubts the claims, whilst Vittoria ... Read review

The Unbreakable Code
Review of Digital Fortress - Dan Brown by bagpuss1980

Advantages: Full of twists and turns at every chapter
Disadvantages: None

...the unbreakable code (known as Digital Fortress) was created by a former employee Erisei Tankada who is trying to blackmail the NSA into telling the world about TRANSLTR. Tankada has published Digital Fortress on the internet so everyone can have access to it and is auctioning off the pass key to the highest bidder. If for some reason he is murdered, his partner has been instructed to publish the pass key for free, therefore giving everyone access ...
...the NSA reading it. The only thing is Tankada has been found dead of a suspected heart attack in Spain. It is David's job (Susan's fiancée) to go to Spain and bring back the pass key, unfortunately before Tankada died he gave the pass key away. David must find the pass key and bring it back to the NSA, but David is being followed by a hit man. There are a number of twists, turns and deaths in this book and I don't want to give too much away. This ... Read review

Dont be fooled, this is not a classic
Review of Deception Point - Dan Brown by gregowen

Advantages: Keeps you just about interested enough to finish the book
Disadvantages: Not in the same league as Dan Browns other books

...what they seem as the deception is uncovered. The question is who's behind the scam? If you've got nothing better to do then i suppose you could find worse things to read, but i wouldnt go to far out of your way to get a copy. At under a fiver it represents reasonable value for money although I would recommend if you do want to buy it then you should try and get it for cheaper at a car boot or on Ebay. ... Read review

The best thriller writer of our time
Review of Hard Landing - Stephen Leather by Mac2008

Advantages: Captures the heart and soul of both the good and bad guy
Disadvantages: You dont get anything else done because you can't put it down!

This was the first leather book I had read and was totally hooked. If you have read and enjoyed any Chris Ryan and/or Andy McNab then this author is certainly one to have a punt on. The thing I liked about this stylisation was how you have one man, living two seperate lives. On the out he is an ex-SAS trooper turned undercover cop. But he is just no ordinary undercover cop, we are talking proper deep cover ops. Infiltrate hardened gangs, gain trust ...
...into a false sense of security and build the evidence to put them away. Great, you are thinking, so where is the originality. As with any great author, it is about bringing the character alive, making you believe, understand, care for that person or persons. Leather is certainly a master at this and you just cant help but declare yourself void of anything but the story. The way this character is torn between the two worlds and his attempt to balance ...
