Twists galore try guessing the ending!
Review of Roses are Red - James Patterson by
jimmijamie
Advantages: good depth to alex, plenty of twists and shocks
Disadvantages: at times was a bit far fetched
...super criminal called the mastermind. Roses are Red is the sixth book in the Alex Cross series, the biggest selling detective series of all time. Two movies have been made of his first two books, ‘Along Came a Spider’, and ‘Kiss the Girls’, and more are planned for the future, with the books themselves drawing to a close.
For those not aware of the Alex Cross series this is a fictitious series about a cop from Washington DC who was formerly a psychiatrist, ... ...a drive by shooting which still haunts him. Alex is a gifted cop who uses his psycho analysis to build up profiles of criminals and helps ultimately to catch the killers.
This book starts off with a series of bank robberies, which seem to go wrong when deadlines are set by the robbers which result in losses of lives. Alex gets involved in the case and finds himself chasing a criminal known only as the 'mastermind'. Background of author:

Along Came a Spider
Review of Along Came a Spider - James Patterson by
CharlieLinton
Advantages: Gripping, Nail-Biting stuff
Disadvantages: Has to end
One of Patterson's finest, a great story and a great introduction for newbies wanting to get into thriller novels - 10 pages and they'll be hooked!
This is the 2nd of a series of books featuring James Patterson's character, Alex Cross, policeman and phsychiatrist (Morgan Freeman in the movies) - the first book being Kiss the Girls! Alex Cross is a strong character, easy to relate to, which is what makes this, and ALL of the other Cross novels, so ...

Not even close to Maximum
Review of Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment - James Patterson by
midpikyrozziy
Advantages: A good general idea and storyline
Disadvantages: Underdeveloped characters, annoyingly short chapters
...The story starts with Maximum Ride, a girl who was grafted with avian DNA, giving her wings and ultra-light bones, living with her five friends - Iggy, Fang, Nudge, Angel and Gasman (who share the same bird-like qualities) in a house by themselves.
They all grew up in a cruel institute called the School, where many kids like themselves are turned into mutants by evil scientists, eager to push the boundaries of science.
The 'Flock' , as they're ... ...fly is quite original, and there is lots of action and excitement over the pages.
All in all, I think that Maximum Ride has the potential storyline to become a good children's book, but James Patterson has to take more time developing his characters, and make his chapters longer. ...

Excellent Book to read... He's Back
Review of Kiss the Girls - James Patterson by
beautiful27
Advantages: His 2nd and still the best
Disadvantages: No comments
This is the 2nd book that is written by James Patterson and is in a series of Alex Cross books which to be perfectly honest are best read in order of publication seeing as sometimes he does refer back to another "case".
Along Came a Spider was the first book so this came along 2nd. This time though, there isn't just one killer, there are two! One colects beautiful, intelligent women on college campuses on the east coast of the USA. The other is ... ...the truly chilling news is that the two brilliant and elusive killers are communicating, cooperating and competing!
Alex Cross is still being introduced as a character so you are still finding out about him, his personality and family but this is a real gripping thriller to get you to do just that! This is such a good book and really (especially if you are female) sends shivers up your spine as the abductions are quite horrid and you can appreciate ...
