Non stop adventure
Advantages: an easy read with non stop action Disadvantages: you have read it all before
OK let me nail my colours to the mast. This is the first of James Rollins books I have read. I love his books when he writes under the name James Clemens in the fantasy genre. So I came to this adventure novel with some misgivings.
Was Rollins going to be as good in this genre as he is in fantasy? Would he let his imagination let rip as he does when writing as Clemens? Well I have to say that the answer is yes and no. This is rip roaring adventure ... ...their seat as our worthy heroes suffer attack after attack from the bad guys.
The main premise of the story involves Safia, Curator of theBritish Museum and how she discovers an iron heart in the museum after an mysterious lightening attack destroys her displays. Along with her ex fiance Omaha ( a poor Indiana Jones substitute), Painter Crowe, an american special agent and sundry other compatriats they set of to find a lost city which the iron heart ...

Sheldons Master of the Game - Bagshawe Has Done Sidney Proud
Advantages: Great sequel Disadvantages: None
...Game is the sequel to Sidney Sheldon's bestselling Master Of The Game and it tells the story of what happens to the Blackwell's vast family fortune and global domination as it is passed down to the next, equally ambitious and equally scheming, generation of the family. As you'll have noticed, this isn't written by the 'master of storytelling' himself, but by Tilly Bagshawe author of three novels, including 'Adored' and 'Do Not Disturb'. The reason ... ...couple of years ago, leaving behind a vast legion of fans from all walks of life. It was with this in mind that the Sheldon family approached Tilly Bagshawe to write a sequel to his 'ultimate blockbuster'. Bagshawe admits herself that this was an honour and 'more fun than any job should be', but is it any good? Well, I'll be honest; I really didn't want or expect to like this book at all. In my mind, no-one could possibly hope to match Sheldon's ...

The front: Mandasue Heller
Advantages: A great read! Disadvantages: A little short!
THE FRONT
MANDASUE HELLER
INTRODUCTION
‘The Front’, was the first novel from Mandasue Heller and was published in 2002.
Ms Heller moved to Manchester in 1982. She spent ten years living in a notorious rough area of the city, working as a singer in bands playing on the local pubs and clubs circuit. After a vicious attack on her home she decided to try to fulfil her ambition of becoming a writer.
She had always enjoyed reading ... ...life on the rough estates of Manchester.
Mandasue Heller is billed as being very much like Martina Cole, and I do agree with this comment.
THE STORY
‘The Front’ starts with Mal, Ged, Sam and Lee, four old friends, who have decided to make some easy money by robbing their local supermarket, on a Manchester estate. This ‘job’ should have been easy for our quartet of no-do-goods; such a small supermarket on a Manchester estate would not hold ...

An exciting adventure from the beginning to the end
Advantages: a well made fiction, that makes you read until the end Disadvantages: i don't see any
The first thing that made me read this book was all the people's comments about this, and all the controversy about the story, and I wanted to know why everybody were talking about it, so I read it, and I agree to everyone who said that the book's amazing. It's an exciting story about a professor who finds himself in the middle of an investigation about a murder of an important man, who left a secret of years to be found out and kept by this professor ...
