"Live Fire", a good entertainer
Advantages: Thrill and entertaining story line, not boring Disadvantages: Nothing that is loud
...and now in 2009 19) Live Fire Out of this eighteen books mentioned here there quite a few unpublished works. But I have been introduced to Stephen Leather through Hungry Ghost and Bombmaker (mainly dealing with the IRA) which I thought till “Live Fire” was exceedingly engrossing and exiting. If I were to compare “Hungry Ghost”, “Bombmaker” and “Live Fire” my vote will definitely go in favor of “Live Fire”. It is a very fast paced, engrossing and ... ...been absolutely brilliant and nail-biting. THE STORY: The main story is set in Thailand. This small Asian country has gained international notoriety for it “sex” and “bar” crimes. It is one of the five Dan Spider series. Dan Spider Shepherd is a former SAS solder. He is an undercover agent with the Serious Organized Crime Agency. The Moore brothers of UK lead a ruthless gang of professionals of ex-army Iraq veterans. The ruthless bunch of killers ...

Excellent
Advantages: An easily read book that anyone could pick up and enjoy Disadvantages: Koontz tends to use the same type of lead characters, and sadly this is present in this book
I would say this is one of Koontz's better books, with the usual thrill of a story line and a new and intense plot. From the first page, Dean thrills us with his genius in producing rich and new characters that warp the story line into something unexpected. One thing i truly enjoyed was the fact that it could freeze me in my armchair, forgetting everything around and being completely submerged into the plot and its unique characters. In my opinion, ...

Angels and Demons - The Book by Dan Brown
Advantages: Good story, Rome, mystery Disadvantages: None
...his first novel was actually Angels and Demons which was released in 2000. The Da Vinci code was released in 2003. The Angels and Demons was made into a movie in 2009. However, the film differs quite a bit from the book in that the film is a sequel to the Da Vinci Code whereas the book is the first in the story. The story really focuses on the age old discussion of science versus the church and which is right and the scandals surrounding that quest ... ...and uncover things but in Angels and Demons he comes to a decision very quickly each time about where they need to go to find the next clue. I would have liked a bit more background detective work. Perhaps it was because I read the Da Vinci code first and came more used to that than this book. I think Dan Brown writes well and makes it quite easy for readers to get into the book. It's not too say his books are simple but I do find them easy to read, ...

Fantastic Read
Advantages: Great storyline and characters Disadvantages: None
Dennis Lehane has been writing since 1994 and I believe this was the third book he wrote. I have only read one previous Lehane novel and thoroughly enjoyed it. If possible this book was even better. We meet Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro. Patrick is a Private Detective and Angie is his partner both in work and love. They have taken a bit of time off work and are re-discovering their relationship. To their surprise they are kidnapped and taken ... ...are asked by Trevor to take on a case for a fee. Desiree Stone, Trevor's daughter, has been missing for three weeks and he needs her to be found. Jay Becker, one of Patrick's old friends, was also sent to find Desiree but he too has gone missing. Patrick and Angie take on the case and find themselves trapped in the middle between truth and lies. The problem is they aren't too sure who the predator is, and who the prey is. The case takes them from ...
