Logitech Game Pad

Advantages: Good design, not too expensive, simple installation.
Disadvantages: Force feedback doesn't work properly, only average battery life.

So, my old joypad was starting to get unreliable, i just couldn't kickflip on Tony Hawks like i wanted to. My Skyline GTR in Need For Speed Underground would suddenly drive into a wall. Time for a new joypad methinks! Walking round PC world, I was simply looking to replace my old Thrustmaster with a similar pad, but it wasn't in stock at the time, and most pads on the shelf had about two buttons like an old NES controller, or cost far too much money. Then my eyes wondered over to this controller. Similar features to my old pad, slightly different button configuration but hey, you can't have everything. The Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 ( I never saw the first but never mind) is a robust little pad. I have pretty large hands, and all the controls just sit in the right place. Great Wireless pad

Advantages: Wireless, dont have to get up to turn on/off console
Disadvantages: Runs on battteries so you need a plug and charge kit really

Ever since getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was 9 years old I've had a bit of a obsession with consoles and gaming. Having gone through a massive list of different machines and accessories over the years (such as the SNES, Megadrive, Mega CD, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2 and more) I've used many different controllers of different shapes and sizes. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller is one of the top controllers I have ever used. Coming in a white and grey design with coloured buttons, the wireless feature is a priceless addition to gaming. No more people tripping over wires and yanking your console from the stand, no more spending time unraveling knots before packing your console away to take elsewhere, add to that the feature you can turn your 360 on or off just with the press ...

Gives You A Real Jolt

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review

The Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power Gamepad, despite looking like a piece of early 90s tackmonger hardware, is actually one serious piece of kit. You are presented on initial impression with a mat black lump of plastic, covered in blue buttons with two control sticks - nothing too impressive and without further info. if you saw it in the shops, you'd no doubt pass it by for something which looks a little more professional. Well you would be WRONG to do so! The Firestorm Dual Power is a force feedback gamepad, which means that if you get a bump or a jolt in the game, you are going to get the same from the joypad - and its some jolt on this little beauty. In fact the motors are so strong that it comes with warnings on the packaging that prolonged play will 'hurt like hell' - and it does, believe me. Now, this may not sound like ...
