Tiger woods PGA tour is one of the most realistic games I have ever played! This is the first serious sports game that has came along on the Wii. It is the first and most realistic sport game that I have played before. As you know the Wii is a completely different kind of way for gaming. It makes you get much more into the game. With this game it makes you feel like you really are playing golf. You have to use the wii remote to swing the golf club on the game. it is so sensitive when swinging the club. Once you press the back button then lay up for you shot. You can also practice swing before hand. When you slightly move the control back the club moves back as well. I don’t know how they can actually do it. So once you have had your practise shots and then take your real swing. It will do so on the game. If you do a poor swing in real life it will know as well. So on the game is it does go wrong you can go too far to the left and right. it also known’s the different power you put into it. When i first
play the game at first I was doing very well and swinging. Then after a while my swing started to go wrong. I kept trying to practise swinging and it just wouldn’t work out right again. Then after some time it worked out ok and you can start to hit it good. It takes a lot of time to get use to the swing.
It is very realistic... why plays real golf? Why bother having to go out to play real golf when you can do the same as you are in real life but in your room. Ok you don’t get the same amount of walking around and be effected by the weather but other than that it very much the same. Also in the game you get to play in famous courses for example pebble beach, St Andrews etc. Obviously if I could play real golf everyday then I would go and play it, but who really has the time and the money to do so? This is the closest thing to real golf you will get!
On the game there are many different famous golfers that you can play as. You have a certain amount of people you can be. When you play the career mode you then will have the chance to unlock even more famous golfers whilst improving your golfer. When playing this mode your own character that you are you can make as good as possible. Once you beat the computer at a match, you can then upgrade our charter to make even better. By up grading you can make the power much more strong and make the character more accurate, and so on. On the game you do get the famous courses as I stated above. While playing the career mode you then can open up famous courses as well as famous players.
The equipment that you use in the game is also licensed products. For example in real life tiger woods is sponsored by Nike. All the clubs that he uses and all the clothing that he wears is all Nike. In the game he also is wearing and using the same clothing that he would do in real life. In the career mode as you get better and make more money you can then change your clothing. There will be all the most used brand makes known in golf available to buy.
The playability & Enjoyment of this game if defiantly top marks!!! As it is a one of a kind game/console it is a game that you will never get bored playing to a certain extent.
The game is very original as it is a sports game and all sports games are original as it has to be exact to the actual sport.
The graphic of this game are very good. You do have better consoles that provide a much better picture like Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. However the graphics on the Wii might not make up to the same as them consoles it still provides a very good picture. If you look at some of the screenshots of the game you will notice that they are very good and look very realistic.
The sound of the game sounds very realistic. You have the famous Vocals of the commentators who commentate in golf. Then also if you pull of a nice shot you hear the crowd cheer and chant for you like you would in real golf.
The game can be very difficult if you want to make it difficult. As you get higher up in the game you will get more things to make it more difficult, like the wind much stronger etc.
Overall this game is defiantly once of a kind game. If you don’t like golf you will now. I suggest to who ever has a Wii console go out and buy this game. You won’t believe how realistic it is until you play it yourself. If you want my advice get it ASAP because you won’t be let down!!!!!
Overall I will give this game a 9/10 this is because it can be a bit repetitive and if you’re playing for a long duration the sound of the crowd can tend to get a bit annoying.
