Advantages Brings a whole new level of realism to the genre

Disadvantages Still no substitute for the real game

So in light of his recent 'alleged' infidelities, many people seem to have taken the moral highground and decided not to purchase anything that he currently sponsors, and that seems to be evident in the low sales of EA sports recent Golf game.

In hindsight calling it tiger woods pga tour was an exceptionally bad idea, but they weren't to know that the man they were paying millions to endorse their game was about to be involved in a major scandal were they? And the name and endorsements of the game have no bearing on how well the game plays and that's what this review will look at from here on in.

Many people say that if you want to play sports, like golf, then go out and play golf instead of waving a little white stick around in your lounge, making yourself look rather silly to the kids looking at you through the window, however I look outside and the weather right now isn't really what you call golfing weather, infact the only sports you could play are akin to ski-ing and sledding. So in times like these is playing this golf game a substitue for the real game? well yes and no.

First the yes, the controls, boosted by the new wii motion plus, are as accurate as you can imagine, and you have actually use it like a real golf club, rather than just make a sudden movement like in wii sports. And it has to be a good swing too, if you don't give it enough oomph or your swing doesn't have the flow that a normal golf swing requires it can judge that aswell and affects your distance and accuracy on screen.

Saying that however it still isn't like playing a proper game of golf, you don't quite get the same feeling of achievment when hitting the green in one as, inevitably so for a videogame trying to appeal to the masses, it's a lot easier to do so than in a real game of golf, although that may suit many people. You also can't brag to everyone else in the golf club how you sank that birdie, because lets face it you were using a white stick of plastic instead of a long thin piece of metal, which makes a huge difference... apparently.
