I must confess to readers that before I go any further with this review, I know hardly anything about Golf. I understand the basic rules, and what the objective is, but apart from that I am mostly in the dark. I will therefore carry on with this review in a way that any average guy who bought this game would write it. When you first load it up on the PSP and get to the menu screen, you will see that there is no cohesive help or a training mode ...
...game, and I mean hitting the ball with the club, preferably hard, you have to skip the character selection, and if you do you will have to play as a rubbish fat guy who is uglier than a photo of Michael Jackson superimposed with a dog. There is a (at best) 15 minute tutorial, which tells you virtually nothing about how to play the game, only the very basics. I recieved this game for Christmas and have played it most days since then, however the flaws are beginning to shine through. Positive ----------- Very simple to pick up and play. Tutorial's are lacking however the basic premise is faily easy to grasp and the number of different modes mean you don't have to dive in at the deep end. Tour mode (when you become a player for a 3 year period) is strangely addictive, as you build sponsorship, your skill levels (which you acquire points towards through numerous challenges) and compete in various events.
