The latest instalment of Tiger Woods on the psp is here.A personally long awaited release as a fan of golf games. The game is well presented with a descent menu system and good graphics the loading times are good as well unlike the previous versions on psp which were pretty bad. There are a few different game modes to chose from Pga Tour career,Mini Games and quick play where you can chose stroke play skins etc great if all your looking for quick fix.In career mode you can create your own character and build their skills up by completing fun tasks in between matches or winning matches there is loads to play for and literally months of game play in this mode if you were to see it through. The mini games are shooting frenzy where you have to smash glass panels in a set time scale to get the highest amount of points for an extra and simple game it very addictive and enjoyable i have personally spent hours on this and adds great value to the game.the other is putting frenzy where to have to sink putts in a set timescale good but not as much fun as the previous.
Now onto the main game when you first start off in career mode your game gets off to a frustrating start as its hard to win golf matches but if you persevere and get a bit of practise you will slowly but surely improve. The control method is simple and effective though can get a touch frustrating at times as you can hit a seaminly good shot and it ends up going bad.the swing action is controlled using the mini joystick. The other buttons control camera, select clubs etc overall very easy to get the hang on the control method. As you progress in the game you can win various sponsership deals to add to your winnings and in the shop these is plenty of new equipment to unlock
The courses are vast ranging from milidly challenging to downright tricky with added weather elements etc. There are 12 courses which might seem small but you never feel like your playing the same course twice. If you get bored playing yourself you can also play against one another with the wireless multiplayer.
Overrall i would recommend this game and would go as far to say its a must have as far as psp games go in comparison to the previous versions this is a vast improvment and certainly stands out from the rest of the crowd of golf games. Its nice to have a game where you can play for hours on end or have quick spurts of gameplay.Certainly a game this will provide hours of enjoyment and prove to be great value for money

Helpful stuff. I always appreciate when people look to point out the loading times on PSP games - essential in my mind when considering a PSP purchase. Alboy
