This game is enjoyable because of its ability to use the WiiMote to swing just like a real golf club.
It's a bit better than WiiGolf because the game picks up natural fade and draw whereas WiiGolf only does this if you hit too hard.
The strength of hitting the ball is probably the same as WiiGolf however in this game, you are limited to 110% power on drives, etc.
Even a softly struck shot can achieve ... ...can be a bit tricky but you can choose a lesser club to achieve the desired result. WiiGolf doesn't give you this option (there is a great difference between a wedge and iron in WiiGolf)
It takes a while to adjust to the strength of swings but this is usual for any new activity.
There are about a dozen 18 hole golf courses to play on, which for me are more than sufficient. I like the idea that not all the courses are American but it is a disappointment ...

...cynical - they know that TIGER WOODS 08 contains serious flaws, but they also know that by simply putting the words TIGER WOODS and 08 on the front cover it will sell anyway.
If you like golf then this game, combined with the wii remote, can and should be very addictive. However, you can only get so far in to the game before it becomes so annoying that you'll give up in frustration.

...been a fan of the Tiger Woods series and the latest addition is no let down. I have played these titles on the PC and playsation but the added enjoyment of actually `playing` a shot on the wii brings a new dimension.
The control can be a little difficult to get used to even on the easiest setting, but anyone who has played the Tiger games knows that the more you play the easier it gets.
The key of course is to play and build up your attributes, ... ...to your skills, as you power up yor skills the stroke play becomes easier, soon you`ll be hitting greens in one. Simply put this is the best golf game ever and played on this platform it gives endless fun.
Longlasting too as you always try to better yourself...in short highly recommended, buy it now! ...

...lover and lover of the Tiger Woods series on PS2, I was excited about how they would make this game perfect to utilise the Wii's unique features.
The way the game plays is excellent, you have to put the big swing on off the tee, but you also have to have touch and skill around the greens and when in bunkers. The putting is outstanding as you firslty have to read the putt, then you can use the putting meter to practise your shot, then adjust and ... ...brilliant, you can do the Tiger challenge which everybody who has played a Tiger Woods game before will know is good fun and is a real challenge. Then there is the PGA Tour season where you play a calendar year and compete in tournaments to meet seasonal targets.
This leads onto the FedEx Cup where you play against the World's best players and gain points from tournaments to be crowned the champions at the end of the season.
