TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey Treatment Shampoo > Reviews (26)

I like trying out different shampoos and this is the most recent one I have tried out. This shampoo is from Bead Head, Tigi and is from the Catwalk range. The shampoo is an oatmeal and honey shampoo. It is meant to be comfort food for damaged hair. Unfortunately I do fall in to this category since I have coloured my hair quite a lot and the ends of my hair are quite dry!

The shampoo comes in two sizes, a 750ml size and a 400ml size. I bought the 750ml size, which is nice and big!

The bottle is a see-through green colour, so you can see how much shampoo is left in the bottle. It has a large 'C' on the front of it and 'Catwalk' written through the middle of the C. At the bottom written in white writing is 'Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo'. On the back are instructions for use in several different languages. I really like the design of the bottle, I love the colour of it and I like how the bottle is quite minimalist with not much writing on the front.

One of the things I especially like about the 750ml size of shampoo is that it comes with a pump top to squirt the shampoo out. This is really handy for in the shower, no messing around with trying to get the shampoo lid open and closed! The pump top also screws off if you don't like using a pump, or so you can turn it upside down to get every last little bit of shampoo out.

The shampoo is honey and oatmeal flavoured, but I think it smells more like toffee than anything else! I like the smell but I do think it is a little sweeter than I would prefer. It is not a fruity smell like I am used to, but pleasant none the less.

I do find that the shampoo doesn't tend to create as much lather as other shampoos I have used so I tend to have to use more shampoo than I am normally used to using. I use about three pumped squirts of shampoo and my hair is only shoulder length.

The shampoo rinses out well, and I really feel like my hair feels thicker and fuller after using it. I find that my hair has more shine to it too, and I think the overall result is great, it moisturises my hair without making it greasy. After rinsing out the shampoo and drying my hair the smell of the shampoo lingers there, but it is quite subtle and I like it. I use this shampoo most days and I still find that it gives the same great results each time I use it.

The shampoo is to be used within 12 months, and this isn't a problem for me since I use it almost every day.

The bad thing about the shampoo is the cost. On the bottle it states 'Sold only in professional salons' and if you buy it from a salon it probably will cost you a lot. I bought mine online from HQhair in a set together with the matching conditioner, both were 750ml bottles and together it came to £17.95. Normally it would cost £34.29, so it was quite a good saving! I don't think I would buy the shampoo at full price, but I would definitely buy the matching set again for £17.95
