Given the price and the sizes of the bottles, I was hoping I would like these products. I have never purchased TIGI products before, but my hairdresser always uses them on me, and then tries to sell them to me afterwards!

The Fashionista shampoo is designed especially for coloured hair. I have dyed dark brown hair, and usually find that the colour begins to fade out within about six weeks, so I like to use something that will keep the colour looking fresh.

As I mentioned, I bought the huge bottles, which are the same lilac colour as the ones pictured, but have a pump action dispenser. I find that this dispenser is very easy to use, and has prevented me from using too much at once, which is possibly another reason why these have lasted so long.

The shampoo itself is the same lilac colour as the bottle and has a sort of pearlescent sheen to it. It has a sweet, bubblegum sort of scent - very unusual, and I must admit I didn't like it at first. I think, because of the price of it, I had expected something that smelled a bit more luxurious, but the scent has grown on me quite a bit, and I do actually quite like it now!

Only a small amount of the shampoo is needed to create a good lather, and cover my hair which is long and quite thick. It rinses out easily too, and the scent lingers on the hair.

At first I must admit I was not overly impressed with the results I got from this shampoo. I think (again because of the price) I had expected immediate results - to use this once, and suddenly have amazing film star hair. As I'm sure you can guess it didn't quite work like that, and my hair didn't look too much different.

Now that I have been using it for almost three months, I have really changed my opinion. My hair has not been dyed since around September time, and the colour still looks good. As I said, my colour normally lasts around six weeks, eight at a push, and by the 10-12 week mark, I can't stand it anymore, and am rushing down to Boots for a box of home colourant! This shampoo is designed for use on coloured hair and for once I have found the manufacturers claim to enhance colour and prevent fading to be true. For me, without doubt, this is the biggest plus point of this shampoo.

As well as keeping the colour looking great, this also leaves my hair feeling soft, and looking healthy, with a bit of a shine to it. One thing I have noticed, is that it doesn't stop frizz. I naturally have quite a bit of frizz to my hair, so I'm not saying the shampoo is causing it, but it isn't controlling it either. It's not horrendous frizz, but as it leaves my hair so soft, the frizz is definitely there, and I do need to use a serum to control it.

I paid £20 for what they call a 'tween set' which is the 750ml shampoo and conditioner, but the cheapest I have managed to find this product is on www.cheapsmells.com where a 350ml bottle costs just £3.80 and the 750ml bottle is £8.95. I have used this website before and it is reliable - see my review if you like! Also, as I said 750ml has lasted me three months, and chances are if you have shorter or finer hair than me you will be able to get even more use out of it, so that is fairly good value.

Overall, I have been fairly impressed with this shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and truly has prevented colour fade. If you have coloured hair I can't recommend this shampoo highly enough.
