What it claims to do:
Product claims to give you "fresh, got to touch it, sexy, shiny hair". It contains "thermal and UV protectors" which protect your hair from damage from heat styling. It will also keep your hair colour safe, adds shine, smoothes frizz AND works as a second day restyler.
Does it work?
In short - yes! I straighten my hair regularly and use a hair-drying appliance too (but I try to let my hair dry naturally whenever possible) and since using this product, I have noticed very little damage to my hair, which has been confirmed by my hairdresser, as he always says that my hair is in great condition. I fully believe that this is due to using Fashionista Smooth & Shine. Using the product makes straightening my hair much easier, and also seems to leave my hair generally less frizzy, even before I attack it with the irons. I colour my hair and I would even say that the product keeps my hair colour looking fresher for longer (probably down to the UV filters). Mostly I will apply the product to my hair straight after I shower, while it is still wet. But I will also use it on my dry hair, if I'm trying to get my style back in shape and it works just as well and doesn't leave my hair stringy. I think the key to this product is not using a massive amount; it feels quite loose and slimy and spreads through the hair easily - a little seems to go a long way.
Price: Approximately £9.50 for 200ml, which may seem pricey, but it lasts ages - I must've been using this product for well over a year and a half now and I've only really been through about 2 whole bottles in that time - which, bearing in mind that I use it almost every day, is pretty good value for money. I have jaw-length hair, so you'd probably use more if you had longer hair.
Both the product itself and the bottle are a pretty purple colour (with blue trim). The nozzle of the bottle is much like what you would find on sports drink bottle; you pull it upwards to open it and then squeeze the bottle to dispense the product. It's simple but works well. You will find that a little bit of product will build up in the nozzle and go crusty - you could probably avoid this by wiping the nozzle, but I've never bothered. I find that when I use the product, the little crusty, doughnut-shaped piece of the product will get squirted out and I chuck it away. The scent of the product reminds me of orange penicillin - it's not an amazing smell, but it's perfectly pleasant and your hair doesn't really smell of the product after it's dry anyway.
In summary - I can't imagine finding a product that I would want to use instead of this; it's not insanely expensive, it works well, smells nice, keeps my hair in good condition. I could continue trying out all the different sprays and creams that are available, but this works to effectively that simply have no desire to try anything else.

Yes you heard right, £9.50 for a 200ml bottle. I looked on a few websites and they were all selling it for around £9.50 but that is without postage. Tigi products can mainly be found in hairdressers, and as far as I'm aware this product cannot be found in boots.

I usually use Toni & Guys heat defence spray, but decided to try TigiFashionista spritz & shine for a change as I constantly get bored (as previous readers of my reviews will already realise!) and HAVE to try more or less every new product on the market much to my husbands disgust!!! Tigi is sold in my local hairdressers and had been recommended to me as a brand several times before so I thought why not, I'd give it a go.
