    Tintin in the Land of the Soviets is the first in the series of Tintin adventures by Belgian writer and illustrator Hergé and first appeared in 1929 in the pages of Le Petit Vingtième - which was a children's supplement to the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle. Like the book that followed - Tintin In the Congo - Tintin in the Land of the Soviets is seen more as an early oddity with some very dated elements rather than an official part of the series though. Hergé withdrew Tintin in the Land of the Soviets from circulation in the thirties and declined to ever colour and update the art as he ... more
