Having read many criticisms of the after sales service offered by various computer companies, I am delighted to record my experience of dealing with Tiny Computers.
In February I took delivery of a new computer and checked through all the items received. In the software were three boxes, Gameplay, Leisure 2001 and Microsoft Works Suite. As I was not likely to use any of these items for some time, I did not check inside these boxes.
It wasn’t until mid-June that I wanted to use the Home Publishing disk in the Works Suite and opened the box to find three of the disks missing (just the ones I wanted). What to do now? Do I write to Tiny and tell them that, FOUR MONTHS after delivery, three items are missing?
Nothing lost, I thought, so off went a letter on June 12th explaining the situation. Within three days I had a telephone call confirming the missing items and a promise to send the software. No problem they said. Three days later I was delighted to receive a complete set of Microsoft Suite (seven disks of the latest 2001 issue).
Needless to say, a letter of appreciation has been sent to Tiny and it is good to know that, in these days of empty promises and unanswered letters, there are still some people around who actually reply and respond in a positive way.
