Advantages Advantages lets baby practise standing up, keeps him/her happy for a while!

Disadvantages Disadvantages only to be used for 20 mins at a time, a bit tricky to get on and off with one adult

Leah does not sit. She has been anti-sitting since she was three months old, where I realised the only way I could burp her without her complaining was to put her over my shoulder. I think her issue is with bending per se - she seems to have a rather large tummy, and bending in the middle probably just isn't comfortable. Either that or she is just awkward like her mother. Whatever the reason, she prefers to stand, and preferably to bounce. This is fun for about ten minutes, and then your arms begin to ache... Hence the bouncer. This is, quite simply, a way for her to stand or bounce without me ... more

Tippitoes doorway bouncer Well having an active baby is not that easy, so as soon as my little girl was able to support her head properly on her own, I went out in search of a door bouncer, and this is what I came across, amongst others but this is the one I chose. ************************** What is a door bouncer ************************** Well with a door bouncer it is something that you can attach to your door frame and your baby is put in a harness attached to this and they are able to bounce up and down by themselfs without the help of mummy and daddy. ******************** How do you use ... more

Advantages Advantages Very supportive for baby, Compact storage. Easy to clean. easy to assemble on your own

Disadvantages Disadvantages The spreader bar is not entirely comfortable to hold if using the bouncer as a baby walking aid

I have used the green doorway tippitoes door bouncer for both of my children. Both Children were able to hold their heads up well before three months and so It was just a matter of waiting until they were near the recommended 3 months and big enough for their body length to fit in the harness. My daughter was so petie that at 3 months her armpits only just managed to clear the side harness! My son however was that much bigger and had a more comfortable experience as soon as he was able. I gradually increased the time that they were in it. Until they found out how to actually bounce, I ... more

Advantages Advantages Machine washable sling, very supportive for baby

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not very easy to get baby into sling

This is labelled as the most supportive door bouncer available and is medically approved. It certainly does seem to live up to it’s reputation and although it took my son a couple of months to get the hang of bouncing he loves it now. I’ve found it difficult to get my son into it though, it isn’t just a case of hanging it up and popping him inside as I first thought. You have to hang the frame on the door and then lie your child down while you strap him into the seat part (my son doesn’t particularly enjoy this bit!). Once in you then attach the straps to a horizontal pole and then lift him up ... more

    Advantages Advantages Strong and secure

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not easy to get baby in and out

I bought the tippitoes for my daughter when she was 4 and a half months old. I shopped around which was worthwhile as there is a difference of about £5 between retailers. I bought it from John Lewis in the end where it was £19. The main disadvantage of this bouncer is that I found it fiddly to get my daughter in and out. You either take the harness off the frame and liel the child in whilst trying to pull it up like a giant pair of pants (while child is wriggling and getting frustrated) or sort of hover child over it while attached to the framethen once their feet are in the hole you sort of ... more
