This was installed on 20th October as I had a few problems with sky(minor now in comparison) and I have had nothing but trouble since. After numerous telephone calls and engineer visiting 4 or 5 times, I am still sitting today with a square in the middle of my picture which is called name selection screen and cannot view tv programmes. The support team are a laugh, think they read from a script and cannot deviate from the advice written down there. Would I reccomend Tiscali? Only if you have a death wish and /or wish to suffer from severe stress!!!!! As I say the concept is good but staff need better training in order to supply good customer support and understand the technology they are dealing with. I have this minute phoned "customer care" as it is laughingly called and had a girl tell me theres nothingI can do we're dealing with it!! The cost of this is £24.99 per month for basic tv package, broadband and phone add ons are available like call waiting, number withheld, and caller display. tv has addons too like variety pack, movies, kids mix,etc. so it seems quite cheap but addons for tv cost £5 each. My package came to £42 which is cheap (another reason we chose to go to tiscali tv) I have had my broadband from tiscali for about 4 years with very little problems( technical support was a problem with broadband too) so it is a cheap alternative. But this is the case only if it works!!!! Funnily enough they seem to clear screen eventually when I call and the customer care line is not one of the numbers included in free unlimited calls with phone package. E.G two calls to them totalled £ 2.97
Hi, a slight improvement but I would advise reading some other reviews to see exactly what constitutes a very helpful or exceptional review. It may be an idea to read a review on Sky TV as I notice there are only 2 for Tiscali! Take note of the way that the reviews are structured, level of detail given for each section of the review, etc...
