Superbly retro....and it works brilliantly! Advantages: Multi-functional Disadvantages: Keeping the chrome clean can be a pain Never thought I'd say this about a kitchen gadget but I simply love my new toaster; not only does it fit in with my slightly retro kitchen (the toaster's red colour is classy rather than garish) but it also does the job amazingly well. Its four slice capacity is a blessing with two children in the house and, given that my partner has an obsession with toasted bagels the toaster's variable functions are great. Genius! I can cook toast to suit me and my other half! Advantages: The 2 different heat settings at one time! Disadvantages: I can't fit warburtons bread in whole, i have to rip the top crust off. I got this toaster a few eeks ago and what a blessing! To be able to do lightly done toast for me and do my other halfs toast nearly at the same time is just pure brilliance. The little dials work spot on so what you ask for you actually get. The other options such as defrost and bagel I haven't actually used yet. I find the colour that i got (shiny black and chrome) looks very sleek and stylish in the kitchen and just wipes clean nicely. It even ... ...only downfall i've encountered with this toaster is that I can't fit in my choice of bread, which is i'm sure you've guessed warburtons. Delonghi Toaster - Does exactly what it says on the box! Advantages: Good toasting quality, looks good, neutral colour suits most kitchens. Disadvantages: controls a bit plasticy ...first ever kitchen and the Delonghi seemed to fit the bill from both a style bill and a price point. It looks cool and retro and it’s beige colour sits good with any kitchen background. Alone it retails at £39.99 however I purchased the toaster with the matching kettle and got them both for £49.99 all in at Makro in 2007. Since then I have seen this same deal in other retailers so one definitely to look out for! Together it’s a bargain but I don’t ... ...has the standard settings one needs in a toaster. It has four slots, which operate in pairs. The toast setting is numbered one to five and is easily operated. The slots are nice and wide and can accommodate thick slices and crumpets, you can also lift the lever to rise up smaller items so you can get them out easily once toasted. No more poking a knife in! Delonghi CT02R - Stylish but Practical Advantages: Stylish design but functional Disadvantages: Seems to take a while to brown the toast ...and value for money that Delonghi represent. Its very pratical with a dial for how well toasted you like your bread, cancel button, defrost setting and crumb tray. Its also easy to clean. • DeLonghi and DeShorti of DePopUp • Advantages: Retro, stylish, easy to use and looks good in the kitchen. Disadvantages: Gets hot on the outside. ...was unbreakable (sadly). The DeLonghi Pop Up is a rather simple but classy little number. It is as shiny as a Cyberman's helmet in its polished matt stainless steel coat which is specially designed to avoid greasy fingerprint marks after use. It has a kind of retro look with elegant curves and won't look an eyesore on any worksurface. There are no digital settings just a simple slide down mechanism and a couple of knobs to fiddle with. ₪ ... ...makes this toaster simple to use. Unsurprisingly, it toasts. You can toast one or two slices of bread at once. You can toast other things too of course, waffles, pancakes, teacakes, brown bread, white bread, grainy bread and home made bread to name but a few.
