Who doesn't love toast like this?
Review of Dualit 40353 by somethinglike

Advantages: looks fab, toasts evenly for a variety of products
Disadvantages: no pop-up, so get the timer right!

I love my bright red toaster! I bought it as it looked so cute (although a little pricey I guess) so it is a good job that it cooks toast as well as it does! The slots are wide enough to accomodate big door-stoppers, but manages skinny bread slices too, and seems to cook crumpets and muffins fine, without the need to use the separate cage (which I bought but have never felt the need to use). The toaster does cook evenly, without having to burn your ... Read review

A toast to the Dualit 40354
Review of Dualit 40354 by BALLISTIC

Advantages: perfect toast every time, easy to master, easy to clean, toasts from frozen
Disadvantages: price

...We paid £130 for the Dualit 40354 from Comet because it fitted in perfectly with our new kitchen and had 4 individual slots allowing the toasting of 8 small pieces of bread at once. The picture here on Ciao is identical to our model, looking beautiful in chrome, however the 40354 is available in several different shapes and styles, the ugliest in my opinion being the biege ceramic design. Compared with other toasters we have had over the years the ...
...and 36 centimetres in depth. It is massive but just looks amazingly cool. I just couldn't picture our kitchen now without the toaster dominating the work surface. As far as gadgets and super features go the 40354 is pretty poor, with just a browning adjustment that goes from making the bread crispy to flame grilled and charcoaled. The best option is the cook from frozen selection which toasts bread from frozen leaving the toast tasting like it had ... Read review

The Object Of My Affection
Review of Dualit 40351 by zoe_page

Advantages: The name, features, style etc
Disadvantages: The price

...made it when you’ve a Dualit in your kitchen” from others on my management training scheme. While I may not yet have ‘made it’ in all areas (public sector salaries start lower than the private sector’s, and understandably enough don’t come with lovely stock options), my kitchen at least is heading in the right direction. What possesses a reasonably sane person to go out and purchase such an expensive toaster (up to £200 in the shops, from around ...
...Dualit. **** THE REASONS DUALIT TOASTERS ROCK SUPREMELY **** 1. The crumb tray is solid, not flimsy like some. This means removing it to empty it doesn’t result in the crumbs going all over the kitchen. They stay nicely put until you reach the bin or sink and physically choose to dispose of them. 2. Dualit toasters have nice tall slots for putting the bread in. This means that if, like me, you favour the full sized warburtons loaves, you can toast ... Read review

My new Breville tt68 Illuminated 2 slice toaster
Review of Breville TT68 by Rhodochrosite

Advantages: totally original
Disadvantages: none

...smell.The toaster has a blu Breville logo which lights up constantly even when not being used ..also a digital blue number stays on to show you what heat setting you are on.And when you insert your bread the fireworks begin. There are 12 lights in all and the toaster glows in a neon blue.Very stylish without being gimmicky. As the toast browns a set of 5 LEDs gradually turn themselves off indicating the stage of Browning...The whole design is well ...
...although it is light. Now to test it with bread.Ist time ...a live review!!! In with some white bread lights all on wait a little and oh too light and one side toasted more than the other.Ok next piece of bread setting 2 ....still too light. Ok new bread. Setting 3...ok one side fine the other side a little light. However its fine and I'm being ultra fussy.also the bread was very thin and I'm sure its just a question of experimenting.I like the toaster ... Good to look at, but disappointing in use
Review of Morphy Richards 44038 by Valmorel2

Advantages: Good looking, wide slots, timer dials accurate
Disadvantages: Slots too short, 'hi-lift' too low

...knobs and dials. We chose Morphy Richards because they have been making them for so long, they MUST know what they are doing... It's good that you can use either pair of slots and each has its own setting dial. However, although it has extra-wide slots, unfortunately they are not extra-deep, nor extra-long, and a slice of my homemade (breadmaker - not that clever!) bread doesn't fit either way. Muffins and crumpets fit, but they are not raised high ...
...risk. Also it seems to take longer to toast that my previous toaster, and so the toast is dryer than I like. It toast reasonably evenly, though. and the timing knob is proportioned correctly, i.e. for light brown toast, set the dial to 4/10. In all, a disappointing purchase, and I am considering junking it. ... Read review
