Handy Toaster with a great design!
Review of Delonghi CT04G by HAYLOLS

Advantages: Good design, excellent features!
Disadvantages: none!

I bought this toaster a 18 months ago and it's still going strong!!! I love the design!...it's got a classic retro cafe style look about it and comes in a lovely cream colour. You can get this in a 2 slot or a 4 slot model. i have got the 4 slot which is brilliant if you are making a round of toast or toasted buns! You can set the temperature to different settings for each pair of slots, which I like as it makes it easier to cook to peoples tastes ...
...It has got a defrost setting and also a reheat function which is great if you like to freeze your loaves top keep for longer! It has the same pop up feature as with all toasters, although this has the added bonus of a high rise feature, whereby you can lift the lever to make the toast lift higher...so you don't burn your fingers getting it out!! The removable crumb trays make cleaning easier and to be honest even though it doesn';t have a cool wall ... Read review

Toasty toast
Review of Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic by BecksterMas

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: None

The Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic toaster is superb. I always fancied a Dualit toaster, but theyre far too expensive. The Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic toaster looks a lot like the Dualit toasters, but is much more affordable(around £25 on Amazon). My last toaster only had two slots, so it is luxury having four slots and it saves a lot of time, especially when youve got two hungry children to feed. The slots are wide enough to cope with muffins, ...
...with extra lift that helps a lot when getting thicker items out of the slot. It is easy to use, with 6 browning settings. There is also a defrost setting enabling you to toast frozen bread. It toasts bread evenly, creating a perfectly crisp piece of toast. The surface wipes clean easily- i use the same polish on it that i use on my stainless steel cooker and it comes up a treat...you can see your face in it! The removable crumb trays are excellent ... A Show off toaster
Review of Dualit 20245 by missc83

Advantages: Styling
Disadvantages: Price

I was bought this toaster a couple of months ago and I'm absolutely thrilled. All the toater I've had in the past have lived in a kitchen cupboard when not in use however this one has pride of place on my worktop. It looks fantastic- really stylish and perfect for a modern or traditional kitchen. It erforms really well and the defrost function is great. There is also a crumb catcher tray that makes the toaster easy to keep clean. I really like the ... Read review

Delonghi Four slice - Nice but lacks colour!!!
Review of Delonghi CT04G by Shar412

Advantages: Reliable mechanically, looks good, thickness variation good
Disadvantages: Toasting ability

...perfectly (looks wise). The Delonghi toasters are a very well known stylish brand, they look good and come in either two or four slot versions, mine is the four slot toaster. Well things started off well and bless its little cotton socks it has never let me down mechanically, even after the barrage of knives forks etc.. that have been poked into it to get crumpets and the such like out (yes I know you shouldn't do it but we all do) but the same ...
...down I think this toaster is reasonable, but I do think you pay that little more for looks, saying that this is the only item in the Delonghi range I have tried. Worth a try but I think there are better products on the market, the choice is yours!! ... Read review

This toaster's cheap, but not too cheerful
Review of Durabrand XB8883 2 Slice by Hearty1

Advantages: Cheaper than the bread it cooks
Disadvantages: Cannot be left to its own devices

Absolutely basic. Built down to the price, and should be used accordingly. Only takes small medium slices of bread, otherwise the top of the slice laughs at you whilst the remainder is subject to too much heat-a result, I think, of the slots being too narrow. This means that thick slices will not fit, and the heating elements are close enough to the bread to render the variable browning knob totally redundant. Put on it's highest, it will incinerate ...
