Hinari CW890 (cheap is not always good)
Review of Hinari CW890 by
daveylee20
Advantages: Limits what bread you can use.
Disadvantages: Has limited working life. Very poor product
I bought this toaster for my little sister for her moving in peasant as she recently got her own place. Anyways... it looked good, the packaging was flashy & with the reatures it had, you would think it would be a decent toaster. How wrong could I be? The complaints started to come in from my sis, not all bread fits in. She is having to cut off the crusts (the best part of toast I think) just to get it in. Then the day came when she bought crumpets. ... ...just do narrow. The only bread that would fit is ones that’s square & thin sliced. Now, that’s mainly the limitations on what you can put in it, but now the technical side.
The first month or so was fine, but then the toast started to burn only in specific areas of the bread. The intensity of the burning grew over time until she had me take a look at it. I noticed the wire that’s wrapped around heat resistant card that gets hot to cook your toast, ...

The competition is toast!
Review of Hinari TL102SS by
annewitton
Advantages: Stylish look, nice price, perfect toast!
Disadvantages: None that I can see
I bought the Hinari mainly as it looked classy and was sturdier than most other toasters in that price bracket. (Many of the others had flimsy components reminiscent of a Heath Robinson contraption.) I decided that I wasn't going to spend more than £20, so was pleased when I came across this little gem for £15.99. (Did you know you can spend up to £150 on a 2-slice toaster? Madness!)
It has a classic stainless steel look that would go in any kitchen ... ...the ears of wheat on.) The flex is an adequate length and the controls are accessible and easy to use.
Most importantly, the quality of the toast is excellent. There is a 'browning contol' with settings between 1 and 7 and, unlike many other toasters, the setting seems to have some correlation with the end result! I have never got a piece of bread jammed in the toaster and never had any burning incidents either.
It also copes well with frozen bread, ...

Handy Toaster with a great design!
Review of Delonghi CT04G by
HAYLOLS
Advantages: Good design, excellent features!
Disadvantages: none!
I bought this toaster a 18 months ago and it's still going strong!!! I love the design!...it's got a classic retro cafe style look about it and comes in a lovely cream colour. You can get this in a 2 slot or a 4 slot model. i have got the 4 slot which is brilliant if you are making a round of toast or toasted buns!
You can set the temperature to different settings for each pair of slots, which I like as it makes it easier to cook to peoples tastes ... ...It has got a defrost setting and also a reheat function which is great if you like to freeze your loaves top keep for longer! It has the same pop up feature as with all toasters, although this has the added bonus of a high rise feature, whereby you can lift the lever to make the toast lift higher...so you don't burn your fingers getting it out!! The removable crumb trays make cleaning easier and to be honest even though it doesn';t have a cool wall ...

Toasty toast
Review of Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic by
BecksterMas
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: None
The Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic toaster is superb. I always fancied a Dualit toaster, but theyre far too expensive. The Russell Hobbs 9209-50 Classic toaster looks a lot like the Dualit toasters, but is much more affordable(around £25 on Amazon).
My last toaster only had two slots, so it is luxury having four slots and it saves a lot of time, especially when youve got two hungry children to feed. The slots are wide enough to cope with muffins, ... ...with extra lift that helps a lot when getting thicker items out of the slot.
It is easy to use, with 6 browning settings. There is also a defrost setting enabling you to toast frozen bread. It toasts bread evenly, creating a perfectly crisp piece of toast.
The surface wipes clean easily- i use the same polish on it that i use on my stainless steel cooker and it comes up a treat...you can see your face in it! The removable crumb trays are excellent ...

A Show off toaster
Review of Dualit 20245 by
missc83
Advantages: Styling
Disadvantages: Price
I was bought this toaster a couple of months ago and I'm absolutely thrilled. All the toater I've had in the past have lived in a kitchen cupboard when not in use however this one has pride of place on my worktop. It looks fantastic- really stylish and perfect for a modern or traditional kitchen. It erforms really well and the defrost function is great. There is also a crumb catcher tray that makes the toaster easy to keep clean. I really like the ...
