Advantages: Informative and helpful Disadvantages: too technical for people just looking for good golf kit
I have just started buying this magazine and it is very helpful. Ihave used it to improve my swing technique and I am now able to play better. It is not all about statistics like some over magazine but more about what feels good and value for money on the latest equipment. It is quite annoying though. It concentrates on only expensive gear and there's nothing about value in it so 60% of golfers are put off as there is nothing for them.

Their letters section is good as it give very good advice to people seeking it but competitions are not good but overall I like the mag. I'd buy it all the time but there are better ones out there.
Advantages: Nicely presented, relatively cheap, clear and interesting info. Disadvantages: Lots of advert pages, sometimes same clubs shown every month
I cant believe no one has written a review for this fantastic magazing yet. Today's Golfer is Britains Best Selling Golf Magazine. It comes every month, occasionally with freebies in and cost only £3.40 per issue.
Free Items:
Here is a list of free items i have got. A long game dvd worth £12.99, a supplement magazine titled 'sexy golf' which tells you how to play some very stylish shots, a 146 page magazine showing you the latest equipment coming out in 2005. This is all i can think of at the moment, but you get lots of free things which is good.
If you're into golf, this is the definitive magazine for you! The magazine balances facts, features, advertising and wit very well, and the whole magazine blends together smoothly. I have found myself sitting down to read a few pages, but gone on to read half the magazine!!

Advantages: Superbly edited and written. Full of interesting features. Disadvantages: Blasted throw away adverts.
Major of the year, the US Masters at Augusta. (Remember you heard it here first, and don?t moan if you don?t get your bet on in time. Heh, heh)
There are further profiles of some of today?s up and coming young golfing stars, the likes of Australia?s Adam Scott, England?s Paul Casey, and the latest golfing sensation from across the pond, (the USA) Charles Howell.
~ ~ Nick Faldo writes a column for Golf World, and has come up with an innovative suggestion to stop the seemingly endless technological advancements in equipment design totally ruining the sport. (By making it too easy to hit a good shot!) He suggests (somewhat tongue in cheek) that the use of tee pegs should be banned entirely! This is the small wooden or plastic tee that golfers place their golf ball on when they take their tee shot. By doing this, it would mean that only ...

Advantages: Extensive and uninterrupted coverage. Good presenters. Disadvantages: Poor camera work. Too much coverage of too few players.
?
Well, my single biggest complaint would be the quality of the camera work.
The BBC cameramen seem to be unable to follow the flight of the ball with any great consistency. I lost count of the number of times they “lost” the drive or approach shot of a player, leaving me wondering where exactly the ball had ended up. To make matters worse, they then had the very irritating habit of “cutting” to another player, instead of sticking with it until they had discovered the whereabouts of the golfer’s ball.
Another complaint would be the almost exclusive coverage of many of the top players, (Tiger Woods in particular) which leads to reduced (if any) coverage of many other fine golfers, who many of us (myself included) would be very interested in watching. Granted Woods is the best golfer in the world today, and has ...
