... After much deliberation I picked up a Toffee Crisp and put it in my basket. It set me back 34p for the whole one bar which I suppose is about average. You can buy multipacks of four full size bars for £1.19 at Tesco which works out at just less that 30p per bar. What a bargain!

When I got home and unpacked my shopping, I sat down to satisfy my munchies. I opened the wrapper and took a bite. For those Toffee Crisp virgins ... ...soft textured top layer of toffee and your bottom teeth break through the crunchy chocolate bottom layer. You don't appreciate the full experience until you start chewing and when you do you wil be glad you did, (not just to avoid the risk of choking!). Before writing this review I did a little research on the Nestle website and found this lot out. Nestle actually started off life in the1860's. A guy called Henri Nestle invented a new kind of milk that babies who couldn't tollerate any other milk could drink. (This milk seems to be the source of some controversy which I wont go off topic and go into right now!) His new milk became especially popular with consumers during the first world war because of a shortage of fresh products. Henri started off selling chocolate after the end of the first world war in order to combat a significant drop in sales. I'm so glad he did or we wouldn't have the wonderfull selection of chocy bars that we have today.
My little story. Walking through my local Tesco store on my way home from work the other day I saw a little kid sat in his dad's trolley. He looked so cute because his dad (probably to keep him quiet) had let him eat a bar of chocolate. As you can imagine the little cutie was covered in it! Anyway when I'd finished thinking how cute the chocolate coated kid looked, my thoughts inevitabley drifted towards chocolate and the munchies feeling growing in my stomach. So off I trots to the sweetie aisle to have a look. After much deliberation I picked up a Toffee Crisp and put it in my basket. It set me back 34p for the whole one bar which I suppose is about average. You can buy multipacks of four full size bars for £1.19 at Tesco which works out at just less that 30p per bar. What a bargain!
Consumption- mmmmmm! When I got home and unpacked my shopping, I sat down to satisfy my munchies. I opened the wrapper and took a bite. For those Toffee Crisp virgins out there I will now describe the experience. When you bite into the bar your top set of teeth sink into this soft textured top layer of toffee and your bottom teeth break through the crunchy chocolate bottom layer. You don't appreciate the full experience until you start chewing and when you do you wil be glad you did, (not just to avoid the risk of choking!). The toffee and crunchy crispies sort of mould together. You can taste the lovely Nestle chocolate the most and there is a lovely toffee flavour there coming a close second. The rice crispies really set off the texture. Imagine, sweet soft toffee and nestle chocolate.... except crunchy.
The bad bits. When you have finished the bar you unfortuanately have to sit and pick all the toffee out of your teeth, because that is where it ends up. Your tongue alone will not shift it trust me I tried to do this in order to avoid the "get your fingers out of your mouth and brush you teeth" lecture off my mum. You wont want to have to brush your teeth because of the nice after taste but you really should. Sugar rotts your teeth don't you know? This bar is made from chocolate and toffee so it is to be avoided if you are after a low carb, fat or calorie diet (DUH!). Why can't they invent a "Diet Toffee Crisp" that tastes just as good? They did it with Pepsi! On the plus side it is a great tasting bar of chocolate and doesn't give me migranes like Cadbury chocolate does.
What does it look like? The packaging is made out of recyclable plastic. It is bright orange with the name of the bar taking up most of the front. The name is written in yellow and brown bubble writing and just above it is the nestle logo. Underneath there's a little bit of writing to tempt you even more into buying one: "Crispy Crunchy, Chewy Munch!" On the back is the regular contact details for complaints or comments, Nestle's promise that they hope you enjoy your purchase and the ingredients and nutritional info bit. The actual bar is about the same size as a mars bar but a bit thicker. The whole thing looks like a solid lump of chocolate with little ripples on the top because of that lovely toffee top layer.
Sciency bit The ingredients are numerous and boring but it does contain nuts and gluten so you peeps who are allergic should probably buy something else. The Nutritional info is as you would expect, unhealthy. Each bar contains 2.1g of protein, 13.2g of fat , 29.1g of carbohydrate and 245 calories apparently. So if your on a diet, dont even bother.
Overall If you don't let the unhealthiness put you off I can guarentee that you will enjoy this bar of chocolate. Nestle chocolate tastes way better than Cadbury any day. It's loads sweeter and richer tasting without being sickly. The combination of this and the soft toffee and crunchy crispies is just sublime! Buy one and get rid of the little munchie gremlins (just the little ones!)
Someone somewhere is having a toffee crisp......and that someone is ME!!..all in the name of research you understand.
My first impressions were favourale as I bit into the oblong chocolate bar. This was reinforced when I tasted the distinctive nestle chocolate coating and sunk me teeth through the body of this naughty little number. It revealed a crisp combination of puffed rice ,similar to rice crispies, surrounded in a chocolately
mixture, topped ... ...that put you off, grab a toffee crisp and pull back you chair, take five minutes out and indulge yourself.!!
**** Thanks for reading ****
**Additional information - It has ben brought to my attention that Nestle have been boycotted by alot of people due to their baby milk distrabution policies.I do not condone there baby milk policies and thus, despite loving my toffee crisps will myself be boycotting them** ...

Advantages: Tastes light, crisp and not heavy or sickly, good price Disadvantages: I'm on a diet so I can't even touch these or smell them in the shops LOL
I have no idea when Toffee Crisp was initially introduced into public sales, but I suppose Toffee Crisp has been around for ages. If you know when this bar first came out you cold tell us!
Whoever invented this bar was a genius, this bar caters for those who want a snack incorporating chocolate and light crisp rice. This is also brilliant for those who want a bar, which isn’t entirely chocolate like a Yorkie or Cadbury’s milk chocolate.
... ...and over again!
When buying Toffee Crisp, I would know that the bar won’t be so sickly that it feels like I ate a whole chunk of fatty food like butter or something. Although still high calorie, it’s bound to have a different effect to the thighs than complete chocolate.
As I’m on a diet, I am only gong to describe the bar and not touch it! You see after going to Hong Kong for a holiday (I have family there and my parents were ...

Advantages: Very very tasty Disadvantages: addictive
...fortune to come upon a Toffee Crisp, which was waiting to be sold at my local confectioner. OK it was a the garage, just thought confectioner sounded more posh. After parting with 38p I was presented with this 5 inch long bright orange package. On the front of this package in huge Gold lettering were the words Toffee Crisp.
I proceeded to go on to work and intended to consume the delight at about 8.30 which is first break time. On arriving at work ... ...was a soft but chewy toffee which was also quite sweet. The whole experience however was most rewarding. A nice chewy sweet chocolatey delight. My mum's as I recall were very good but this was just superb. what a bargain for 38p.
I continued my short walk from the car park into work with this sweet toffee taste still lingering in my mouth, I got a cup of coffee from the vending machine and took a mouthful MMMMmmmmm I thought there is a possibility ...

...me! I’ve just got a Toffee Crisp, and it’s just what I wanted!
For all you Toffee Crisp virgins, Toffee Crisps come in a bright orange, retro looking packet. The writing on the front is in yellow and brown and to be honest they clash a bit. Other than the name there isn’t much on the front of the packet. There’s a little ditty thing underneath saying “ Crispy Crunch, Chewy Munch!.”
Toffee Crisps are made by Nestle ... ...comes round where I work. Toffee Crisps vary in price, as do most chocolate bars, it all depends where you purchase your chocolate fix from. Corner shops and smaller shops are usually more expensive and you will normally find them for less, of in multipacks from a supermarket.
A Toffee Crisp is an average looking chocolate bar on the outside. It’s a simple bar with a mottled affect on the top. When you bite into the bar it feels quite soft, ...

...my tongue quite literally is toffee crisp. I've just skanked my mums last one and I feel a hundred times better now I've given into my urges lol.
This has to be one of my favourite 'chochy' bars and my gramp has been buying me these week in week out since time was before time . Um maybe not. I'm not quite that old yet but not far off lol. Chocolate seems to give me a great buzz and after any meal I have I always have a craving for something chocolatey ... ...the unique blends of crispy toffee tantalising your taste buds.
As for the smell well it smells of strong toffee and some people might say the smell makes them feel sick and others will relish the smell and want to tear it apart. How was that ? lol.

Reviews which might be of interest for "Toffee Crisp"
Advantages: Made from oats Disadvantages: Somewhat bland
Mornflakes Banana and ToffeeCrisp is billed on the box as consisting of: "Scrumptious oat clusters with banana and toffee." The dictionary definition of scrumptious is given as: "extremely pleasing to the sense of taste" or "tasting extremely pleasant".
In no real sense of the word could Mornflakes Banana and ToffeeCrisp be considered as "extremely pleasing to the sense of taste" or "tasting extremely pleasant".
The ingredients are: oat flakes, rice crisps sugar, vegetable oil, desiccated coconut, dried sweetened banana chips, toffee pieces, wheat flakes, nibbed hazelnuts and salt.
The box also bears the legend: "Also delicious hot." This presupposes that it is also delicious cold, a supposition with which I cannot not agree.
With only 4% banana chips and a distinct lack of toffee flavour I fear that the name Mornflakes ...
Advantages: The chocolate coating and toffee sauce is so nice yum Disadvantages: Its supposed to be crispy but its not
I brought these a few weeks go, they looked so delicious and nice. I really like toffeecrisp chocolate bar so i thought ill give these a try.
They were £1.95 for a pack of four which is good and better than buying as a single product.
When i first opened the wrapper it looked really small but the coating looked so attractive and i just had to give it a bite.
The chocolate was really thick and the toffee sauce was sooo sweet and tasty.
However the crispy bits in the chocolate were not crispy at all. They are puffed rice but they were like soggy because it is a frozen food and wet like.
That did put me off a bit but the other parts are really nice and go great together.
The ice cream has a nice toffee flavour and is not that sweet which is good as it would be too overpowering as the sauce is very sweet.
I did like this product ...
Advantages: Nice ice cream and toffe flavour Disadvantages: Too small
Well ice cream. We all love them and on a hot day we all get one. I hadn't tried the toffee ice cream until i read SamRoversNo1 review on them.
Now i love ice cream, i mean i could sit there and eat it so i wasn't to happy with Sam putting it down so what did i do, I got some.
The costs of the ice creams are £1.99. This is an aright price to pay but if the charged a little lower then they may get better sales as the ice creams them selves are only about 2cm by 10cm which may sound big but when you see them you'll know what i mean.
I was really looking forward to getting them to try them, so when my dad got back i was out to the car to get them.
When i got them i got inside and put three in the fridge freezer and i had one. The packaging was really good as it was a bright orange box which really stands out. The letters ...
