I wasn't expecting to be able to use fun voices, record my own voice or be able to add pictures. ... ...do with this which is great! Another plus is how fast it is. You touch the screen and it changes instantly. You can also buy accessories for it. Overall I am very pleased with it. The tomtom 730 is a great device however the extra features are really not needed for the extra cost of the device.
For example putting the audio prompts through your car radio is great but with a loud and clear on-board speaker whats the point?
I have an mp3 player so the mp3 player on the tomtom is no use to me. The list rolls on.
On the other hand it is fast and precise at calculating alternative routes, the lane guidance system which tells you which lane you are supposed to be in when you are on dual carriageways and motorways is very handy indeed.
The user interface of the software is among the best I have seen among any satnav I have seen.
The audio prompts are clear and you can customise the device to use many custom voices.
The only real technical problem I have found is sometimes the device does not turn on so ...
