Advantages No wires solution and portable to another vehicle or for walking
Disadvantages Sometimes difficult to setup and GPS 'mouse' has been know to have problems
Superb peice of equipment for a vehicle or walking. Maps of the UK are about 3 - 4 years old, but the main routes are included.
The setup was easy enough, but might cause a few problems with novices setting up Bluetooth devices.The hardware has suffered from early lock-ups with the GPS receiver or 'mouse' having to be sent to TomTom. This has happened to me but I can not priase TomTom with their excellant customer service.
With the add ons of several free Points of Interest software this is an excellant solution.In 2004 TomTom released their 3rd version. This was offered at £19 and is a wise investment as the maps are updated and with the add on for traffic management is worth it alone.
