I'm a student studying a BTEC followed by an HND at college, full time. I work part time on the weekend as a Computer Technician, repairing and Building Computers. During my spare time, I socialise with my friends.

I'm a fanatic when it comes to my gadgets, GPS was mandatory without a doubt in my life. Noticing the wide range of GPS devices on the consumers market is rather daunting to some who don't have a foggiest about gadgets. However, having knowledge I wasn't going to invest allot of money in a GPS device as all I needed the device for was to get me from A to B and to toy around with, and that's all really. Obviously the TomTom devices varied from £199 to £400, however knowing from past experience most of the devices got similar features.
Without hesitating, I purchased the device from Comets that had a discount on the product at that time. Once I returned to the car, I set the device up promptly without looking twice at the manual, it was quick and easy setup without any confusion! GPS device just simple clicked on to a "holder" that had a suction clip to stick it to the windscreen, following that quickly hitched up the Car Adapter that was supplied to the GPS device, and inserted the "card" in to the device that contained the "Great Briton Maps", turned it on and wala!
In seconds I was presented with a colourful, clear and vibrant menu. It's clean graphical user interface was friendly for the end user, just click the necessary options "Plan Route", put in the detonation and then wait for a GPS fix (connection between the GPS device, and the satellites) and I was ready to go! It took literally seconds, It was superb! It guided me with "step to step route instructions", that was "narrated by voice instructions" from either a "male", or "female" depending on you're discretion.
It honestly does the trick! It's a mandatory device for any vehicle, it's left me self satisfaction while I drive without the worry's of becoming lost. Without GPS, I'd always be nervous to stray off having that gut wrenching feeling that you would sometime become lost, and get disorientated. However, GPS takes away that worry. I now travel all the time, even to long distances where I would of never dreamt going... It's a worthwhile investment, and the TomTom One is my recommendation for you!
