I don't know what the experience with this product has been for others, but I certainly have my views.
I feel this product is of very good value for money and most of the time does get you where you need to be, the only reason why I am only giving 4 stars instead of five is to the fact that it has for me a few niggly bits....It may be only mine it may be faulty but I believe that not to be the case I feel this is probably a problem for all, however just commonly ignored due to the usefulness of this device.
I purchased mine about 4 to 5 months ago, came home installed the software and away I was getting all the updates (permitted ones) and ready to go. I even went on a few trips just to test the little devil, I was over the moon. Good and easy to use extra large screen voice command and customizable that was exactly as I had dreamed :)
It wasn't until I started to take longer trips that I noticed the annoyances, for example going on an overpass (over another road bridge) where on the bridge I was allowed 60mph and the road bellow was of 30 mph the speed indicator changed and started to beep constantly advising me I was going over the speed limit when I wasn't, then I noticed it also did this over other roads when they were to close to other roads and so on... quite annoying. I also noticed when I do not use the device it seems to loose all it's charge very fast, so let's say I charge it fully , if I have it switched off in a draw until next use lets say in a couple of weeks the charge is completely drained....like I said it may just be mine but I feel is not.
Appart from these two things all the rest is praise, and YES if given the choice I would still have purchased it knowing what I know now, after all it as accurate more than 95% of the time and when it is not it does get me close enough to figure location out, auto corrects if I make a trajectory error and is quite fast at doing this, very versatile and always up to date with all the updates, shame that some things that should be relatively cheap TomTom wants to charge a fortune...anyway that another subject not the devices fault lol.
hope this helps you guys make your mind up ...BUY IT you won't regret it ...but be aware is not perfect ...most things are not perfect anyway....just put John Clees voice and you'll be happy
