	The Black Rider - Tom Waits Summoned to Hamburg, Germany, to write music for a live stage production of Robert ... more Wilson's The Black Rider, musical mastermind Waits took to the task at hand with gusto, assembling an eclectic crew of musicians to become "the pit band [he'd] always dreamed of." Several years later Waits assembled another "orchestra" in San Francisco to record many of the songs he'd written for the live production. Those tracks are found here, alongside a few rough gems from sessions in Hamburg. You'll find some musical matter familiar to Waits fans: accordions, carnivals, violas, banjos, the devil (a key figure in The Black Rider), a singing saw, bassoons, and trombones. Waits' many voices tell the rather disjointed story with a variety of musical styling, and the assembled whole is pretty much a sum of its parts (but at least they're interesting parts): a touch of Day of the Dead, a whiff of carny, a nod to Brecht, a dash of film noir, and the scent of narcosis (William Burroughs makes an appearance here). Review of TomTom Rider by chrisni1986 Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: voice in helmet off putting ...the tom tom rider... never again get lost on a bike, scooter etc.. this excellent piece of kit fits simply onto the top of a conventional motorbike's front forks or can be attached to a scooter fairing/screen with some simply modification and being only around a kg or so its very light so theres no real risk of breaking anything when attaching the device... once attached your ready to navigate to anywhere you please.. but its gonna rain.. navigation over right?? wrong the tom tom rider is water resistant so can be used in pretty much all conditions.. even in direct sunlight the anti glare screen is easy to see and use.. getting directions from the device happens through a wireless bluetooth headset that you wear inside your helmet.. this headset can also be used to answer voice calls from you mobile phone as the device also routes calls... This was one on my worries when buying this product. Have they catered for eye tiredness. I am pleased to say "yes", all angles have been covered. Location to location. --------------------------- We all have been in a road block... Well now you are warned.. TomTom alerts you if any hold-ups are ahead and will automatically re-direct you onto an alternative route. The problem is that if everyone else has a TomTom all routes could prove difficult. Having said that, it would not be as bad as it once would of been. You can re-select alternative routes manually. TomTom is a system that allows human intervention... Yeah.. us humans are in total control really... Remember who made you. TomTom is nothing like KIT the car from Knight rider. You will have to download... Tom Tom 520 Review of TomTom GO 520 by tobykelly11 Advantages: Lots of features, good price Disadvantages: no europe mapping ...I do not own a sat nav. However currently i am working at halfords selling them everyday. I have set up, demonstated and used almost every sat nav. It is easy to say the Tom Tom go series is the best range. The 520 is the basic addition to the go series. The main let down here is no europein mapping. For this feature you wil need to upgrade to the 720 (approximatly £50 more expensive). If you do not intend to use europien maps the you will not be let down by the Tom Tom 520. For the price it features a huge range of features including...FM transmitter to play your music though your car sterio! and also bluetooth. The bluetooth is excellent for use with your mobile phone as a handsfree kit. I would deffinatly recommend the Tom Tom 520 to anyone....
