Tom Original name Thomas.Did you know tom was originally called Jasper in the very first short, Puss Gets the Boot, while Jerry was named Jinx. Tom is a a male blue-grey cat,thin-skinned and quick-tempered . He is a very notorious cat who lives a very luxurious life. With the usual fighting between tom and jerry in the cartoon by the end of it tom
isn't able to catch jerry and turns out to be the loser except rarely when both of them make peace.
Jerry Jerry is a brown mouse who lives in a hole inside the house while more often he is around the house eating or fighting with tom. He is individualistic and intelligent unlike tom. Jerry is also quite storng and can lift heavy stuff despite his tiny size. Jerry usually wins all the fights.

Tom and jerry is my favorite cartoon and will be forever.... I love watching it since my childhood.Its the best cartoon every made.... The Hanna-Barbera cartoons are my favorite I think they have made very real and amazing characters and interpreted them very well,the voices are sooo sweet.... After Hanna-Barbera chuck and jones years came but their cartoons weren't so appealing to the eyes as the characters were crisp and sharp also the voices were not that good I do like one thing at the starting you know when tom and jerry are shown tom makes a lil' voice khikhikhi something like that which is very funny....
I love cats but I'm totally horrified of rats but I would love to have one like jerry ,he's so mischievous and sweet... I would love to have tom too, he's so cute and adorable.. Tom and Jerry is the Best cartoon ever ever made... Tom and Jerry Rocksss...

The animation in Tom and Jerry is 2d. I think the characters in Tom and Jerry are so beautifully animated. They are so real and believable... The detailing has been been done so nicely,attention had been kept on every detail..All the expressions of tom and jerry are impeccable.

Used to love Tom and Jerry, the 40s and 50s episodes were so much better animated than the later ones. Its amazing to think of the levels of violence they used to get away with, isnt it? :)

I used to love watching cartoons afetr school! This brings back memories, but I think my favourite had to be TC and Officer dibble ones in TopCat!
