There is still time left to go and buy some tomato plants from home base for only 70p per plant. You don't need a garden, just place them in a grow bag (also available at home base for around £2) which is a bag filled with soil and compost and which can take around 4-5 plants. There are a variety of tomato plants to choose from including cherry tomatoes and beef steak ones. I also bought a chilli pepper plant for 99p. All you need to do is water the plants regularly and when the tomato fruits start to appear you can feed it with liquid tomato food to make the fruits grow bigger. The tomatoes should appear in summer ready for all those summer salads and should taste better than what you can buy in the supermarket.
