"The names Croft Lara Croft"

Tomb Raider 3 is superb in every possible way. It has been updated a lot from the previous installments. I have have got Tomb Raider and have played the demo for the sequel and the leap is incredable.

First of all Lara is looking better than ever with smoother graphics slicker animation and new move. She gets new outfits depending on missions and if you jump in the fire in her house you even go on fire!

The bad guys are even better than before not only can you kill a wide amount of animals like tigers, snakes and vultures but you get to shoot humans as well which may seem sadistic but adds more depth and realism to the game. They aren't too hard to kill which makes it better than some games where the first bad guy kills you.

The levels are superbly designed and are massive. You have to perform a lot of very precise movements to open a single door sometimes. The level of detail is stunning with rain hitting water being visible and fog clouding views. You get to swim through intricate systems and use zip wires. The fact you get to choose where you go after India makes the games a lot better as you get to escape the linear effect of most games. It is not to difficult but does make you think which in my opinion is a good thing.

The vehicles are great fun especially the quad bike where you can do daredevil leaps over water or deep pits. Other vehicles include kayak, speedboat and an underwater propulsion unit. They are all great fun and make this series of games like no other.

This is superb fun and although may not be as good as the more recent installments it is cheaper and still provides superb entertainment. Well worth a look.

Would have been more helpful if you had included e.g. price, machine specification. Also, you are assuming everyone knows what the Tomb Raider series of games is about.

Hi Elspeth, I'm quite into some computer games but have only dabbled with Tomb Raider. Even so, I watched the film recently and found it to be a very poor imitation of the Indiana Jones ones. I don't think that the game translated well into a film. Still, who cares as long as the game is good? Have fun! Kay
